Beachwood bbq no longer doing bbq??

This explains why the beer lines at concerts are shorter than ever--I've definitely noticed it there

 

So now Beachwood Long Beach is... reopening? I don't think I understand what's going on.

 

Ian McCall (ex head brewer for Beachwood BBQ & Brewing and RiiP has bought the existing location and will be brewing his own beers at the LB location. As far as food? Time will tell. It will be ISM Brewing. It’ll be in good hands.

 

Looks to me like the Beachwood Blendery space is sort of going through a "mini-rebranding" and will henceforth be called "Beachwood Long Beach," with the tasting room inside now pouring a full spread of Beachwood beers (including clean stuff) and not "just" the funky goodness from the Blendery. Seems like a decent consolidation move, and I hope it means the Blendery production space (behind the tasting room) is here to stay.

 

Did anyone go to the Hill Farmstead takeover in Long Beach back in 2014? Best beer day ever.

Did the Blendery make their own wort? I thought that I had heard the Blendery got its wort from Beachwood LB.
If the Blendery is not set up for the hot side of brewing, will ISM take on that responsibility?

 

Ate some weird mushrooms a couple of years back and went back to 77’ to see Pink Floyd’s Animals tour at A Stadium. Don’t need no Time Machine.
