    I stopped by Saturday hoping for a pour and it was kicked already. Certainly some folks have had it. Unfortunately, I’m not one of those people.

    Changes coming to the mug club membership program in the new year at Wax Wings. Moving forward, the annual membership is being eliminated and they will only be offering a lifetime one... My initial thought is that it seems like they are leaving money on the table but I know it's a lot to manage annually when they have people with various renewal dates and the administration happens manually. Current members have first priority and it sounds like any remaining available memberships will be offered to the public on January 1st.

    It's a no brainer for me... I say this a lot but WW is consistently putting out the best beer in Michigan in my humble opinion.

    The cost is $75 and the biggest benefit for me is the early access to releases. The $1 off pours and a few extra ounces is nice as well. Here are the benefits:

    $75 for lifetime membership? That can’t be right!

    I’ve only hand a handful of Wax Wings beers, and my visit was on an uncomfortably hot summer day where I wasn’t feeling in the mood for DIPAs or imperial pastry stouts, no matter how delicious they might be. Which is all to say I need to pay them another visit.

    EDIT: $150 lifetime membership, still a bargain by any stretch. Especially with other mug clubs that I’ve seen hovering around half that amount. Unfortunately sold out, far as I can tell.
