Good morning BAs! Stayed up late, slept in, chores mostly done…it’s coffee time - KBS:



Another mid 70s morning evolving into the mid 80s again today. Many little pieces of the upcoming holiday travel puzzles need my attention. A pub trip later depends on my productivity…Cheers and have a thoughtful Thursday y’all!

 

Part of this week’s condo chores include “cellar” cleaning - Cigar City’s “Ian Schmidt” BBA Imperial Sweet Stout w/Vanilla, TBBW , purchased at brewery March 2020:



Stored in my chiller at 54° since purchase. Poured at 57°. Looks good, smells ok, but tastes off - phenolic (13.6%) tart dark fruit. No rating here from me or on UT…pity. Cheers y’all!

Making a Cuvee of two open beers that I didn’t like for one reason or another…a 50/50 blend of WeldWerks’ Summer Starry Noche (bottled 6 ‘22, 14.6%)coconut Imp. Stout which I found too sweet, and Cigar City’s Ian Schmidt BBA Sweet Imp. Stout with Vanilla (bottled 3 ‘20, 13.6%) which I found phenolic and “off”:



Actually, not bad! The super sweet milk sugar laden beer masks the tart/off flavors of the second. I foresee an alcohol induced nap this afternoon in conjunction with lactose shits for the remainder of the day…oh, what I’m willing to do for science
