Love your Duvel Glass. But is this St Bernardus any good? It is highly rated here. I guess I have to try it. Maybe my prejudice. It always looked kind of like a cheap ripp off to a Trappist beer to me.

Thanks, I don’t watch a lot of basketball, but turned the game on between periods of the Bruins game. I’m kind of fuzzy with the in season tournament, my son tried to explain it to me twice. Cheers!

Cross post from NBW, which I don't do often. It's an ok Oktoberfest, but nothing special.

Hello BAs. Thanks @SawDog505 for 4040. Yesterday was a 0% accomplished yard work day for me so today will be the opposite. Nice weather and I'll prime my engine early with Trappistes Rochefort 6. Once I get the ball rolling here I'll need another brew and a break. This beer is an absolute pleasure cruise. Cheers!!

Not sure where you're getting your info from. This beer is awesome. Among the highest rated quads out there.

Yes. And holy buckets I just had a bottle yesterday and it is so divine. Warming, dark fruits. It's an absolute masterpiece.

    Good morning BA
Spent last night drinking Coors light at a wedding where I actually knew no one except my wife...
Survived, and now I'm making vegetable soup and drinking this.

I guess this is an updated formula so I'd technically never reviewed it. Notes on NBW. Cheers all!

This gem of a beer was sent to me by @Roguer and I'm so glad he did. It's delicious and just how I like my Cascadian ales. Dark, roasty but also piney and citrusy.

More details in the New Beer Weekend thread.

It's good.AFAIK they use the original Westy 12 recipe. The label is kind of goofy, and if there is a picture of monk on it you can be sure that monks had nothing to do with making it, but it is what is on the inside that counts.

Agreed! I’ve done a side by side by side blind TR 10, Westy 12, and St. B 12, and the three beers are each so close and delicious! Hoping to find (again!) the St. B Christmas 12 on my upcoming trip abroad - Cheers!
