Lunch beer - Hop Butcher’s “Poppy Seed Bun” an all Riwaka Hopped APA ringing in at 6% abv:



Canned 10/10/23. Purchased at HBS last week. Riwaka is pungent dank skunky fruit. Tasty grapefruit, sweet pineapple with a lemon/lime finish. I like! Working on notes for NBW. Cheers y’all!

Since last year Westvleteren is in the shops in Belgium and the Netherlands (the official way from Westvleteren).

This new to me beer is another absolute banger courtesy @Beersnake1 from a killer porch bomb for Barleywine/Stout BIF #1.



Beer of the Dark, bourbon barrel aged stout with Vanilla, from Chapman Craft Beer, Orange California. Apparently this decadent, viscous, 14.4% beer is a 2023 CA Brewer’s Cup Gold Metal winner. Well deserved hardware.

This is my kind of stout. Jet black, thick, rich, chewy, boozy barrel with vanilla and excellent barrel character. The hits just keep on coming. The generous ABV ought to help get me through this Packer game . Thanks, Tim!

Picked up some "fairly fresh" Torque Wrench (canned on 10-20-23) for a busy day of IU sports. Right now, Big 10 Soccer Championship between IU and Penn State. Women's basketball on at 5:00 and then Men's basketball at 7:00. Looks like nothing is getting done around the house again today.
