Its called a Banger. Heat the bucket with a torch and drop a piece of hash in it at the right temp drop that carb cap and pull away. It's the most efficient way of smoking it. This setup is kinda pricey and can be done for cheaper. You use a short bubbler not so percolated so your getting full flavor.

My cap spins that pearl, hits better...

    1) BlackStack Threading The Needle (7.3% no canning date): A NE/WC IPA from Minnesota with Strata, Mosaic, Talus, Simcoe & El Dorado Cryo for flavors of lemon citrus, citrus flower, bright pineapple and pine. Dry and clean.
    versus
    2) BlackStack Strictly Business (8.4% no canning date): A NEIPA from Minnesota with Nectaron, Nelson, HBC1019 for flavors of OJ, pineapple and grape juice. Juicy, zesty, sweet. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    2) BlackStack Threading The Needle:
BlackStack IPA Battle. First up is Threading The Needle which is a NE/WC IPA blend with some good hop combinations for flavors of lemon citrus, citrus flower, bright pineapple and pine. Clean and dry, but not really bitter.
Next is Strictly Business. A larger IPA and strong orange, pineapple, and melon sweetness. I'd said before that they should stick to sub 8.0% IPAs. This is too heavy, boozy, and sweet.
Threading The Needle may be what some call a NEIPA masquarading as a WCIPA. It's bright, juicy, and by most accounts I'd call it a NEIPA as it doesn't have much bitterness either, although it is slightly cleaner and clearer than most hazies. Definitely not a WCIPA, I'm not sure what it is, but I enjoyed it.

I had always figured that more agitation would simply add more oxygen and hasten the oxidation of the beer, so I always tried to keep them settled until I poured them. That would surely be amazing innovation to the IPA industry if that method is true!

Unfortunately it wouldn't. I'm positing that the problem lies (pun intended) with the cans sitting in the same position on shelves for weeks or month after stocking and before purchase... often long after the point of no return.

From my observations prior, once that yeast settles, you're getting flakes, chunks, etc at best when agitated. Or, if it's too far gone, that yeast cake is darn near indestructible, yielding a 'clear'-ish (drain) pour of what should be should be murky/hazy.

Now, perhaps vibrating store refrigerator shelving ala paint mixers.... hahaha cheers!

    Haha! You don’t say?

I can roll one, light it up, smoke it up occasionally but that’s some Breaking bad stuff right here.

Cool 70 and rainy today. Had a great trip to our Orlando plant today. Met some folks on the team for 3 years that have never met due to the pandemic and saw some I've known 35 years or longer. Miller Lite, and a bunch of it to start.

Oh, I missed that part. Well ya can't add oxygen to the unopened can... hopefully. If you can, you have much bigger problems with that beer.

I meant to touch on oxidation, as something outside of our control.

The total amount of oxygen at canning makes a big impact for sure over longer period of time in can, and is a factor of quality control. See:

This is typically one of the advantages of cans vs bottles, along with blocking light.

    Cheers!

Yeah it takes practice and gets harder to do the higher you get. A little goes a long way with it. I've seen people act really funny. I do enjoy putting it on bud, use a safety pen and a lighter to move it if it's hard to transfer to a bed of ganja.

Use to be even harder to smoke it, the techniques have changed over time. The newer pieces are really nice but also more expensive than my setup.

I smear it on a rolling paper and then roll up a bone. But I find it difficult to work with and would much prefer hash or kief.

    pFriem - IPA

One of my favorite beers is pFriem's Pilsner. But beyond that I have not been in love with any of their other offerings. This IPA smells amazing but it's a bit too sweet for my liking. No complaints though.

Any kind of extract smokes really well out this setup, is a straight hash setup. I enjoy all kinds as long as the terps are loud and I medicate properly. They got a few different electronic setups that work well and make it a hell of a lot easier, what my pops uses.

Yeah proper bubble is gold. Look for some full melt that's some of the best of the best imo. You need that before you smash it into rosin which is what I prefer over everything. Both are solventless and require the best buds from the plant. What I can't stand is those distillate cartridges. Fuckin a don't get me started.

Time to clear last few Oktos from the fridge.

Tough not to buy more, but perhaps I'll say eff-it to my self-imposed T-Day deadline and grab some more of the classics to end on a high note.

This one was a pretty decent local effort.
