Have never had Dddoublegangerrr before. This just doesn't seem right. It's very dark and it has a funky sweetness to it. Not funky as in infected, just weird.

Yeah, that color doesn’t look right, but maybe it’s the lighting.

 

Nah man. Not the lighting. Even looking on untappd i see recent check-ins that are darker then some brighter orange ones later.

You’re right. Interesting that it doesn’t seem to be impacting the scores people are giving it.

 

I always assumed people rate Tree House beers highly regardless of taste.

 

Definitely some truth to this. That said, if a beer was “bad” I’d think the scores would reflect it.

 

The beer definitely wasn't bad. I just don't think that batch represents the beer a 100%. Would love to revisit it in the future

 

Was able to get all 3 of the Gilded Grove barleywines, and Tree of possibilities. So glad these things hang around now.

drinking Peachganger now and it’s pretty good.

 

I had a can from this batch purchased at Tewksbury. Drank it about one month after canning and mine was fine.

 

I really enjoyed Peachganger. More than I expected.

 

I haven’t had it in a while but multiple times in the past and it does look a little bit off. My recollection is it was a rich earthy color but more on the orange side than your picture. Great IPA though.

I agree that color looks off.

While not as dramatic in color I’ve had two cans of Very Hhhhazy that taste off to me. There’s almost a faint smokey flavor I got from 2 cans so far. Gave one away. It’s just an odd flavor profile I can’t pinpoint but it’s not good. Had a weird just muted and kind of musty mess. Where the haze family usually explodes peach candy to me. The color was a little darker to me as well. But may not look as so on cam. Had a stick season and they was so incredibly bright and pineapple to compare.

 

Love that glass! Where did you come across that and where can I get one?

 

My brother's a big glass collector and got it for me for Christmas, probably four years ago or so. If I had to guess it's a limited one off.
