Pollyanna Personal Chain Letter an Imperial Stout aged in Whiskey Acres Blue Popcorn Bourbon (WTF) and Rye Whiskey barrels, a boozy one for sure.

Much to my delight it doesn't taste like popcorn.
    Good stuff for sure.

    I'll die on this hill

Any NON Order Of The Anvil ( which is still ASS cuz they charge 45+ for bottles, but i guess it's like other hype breweries so bit really) Barrel Aged stuff from Alesmith is about HALF as good as they were before they changed to that ugly ass logo .

Makes me fuckin sad cuz i love Speedway, but they broke my heart with those sorry excuses of BASS and BAVSS starting in 2021

The regular variant releases are still bangers from time to time though.

Ex: The Mexican Chocolate Speedway variant was my all time favorite. 2nd best was the Mostra Coffee and Coconut

That shit was insane. And like 4.50 for a pint can. I drank a lot of those in my garden that year and grew more potatoes and corn than I ever have since. Coincidence? I think not!

First time with this new one. Drinks well under its 13%. Big bourbon smell and tastes like a milk chocolate bar soaked in bourbon. Tad bit sweet and a little thin but I like it, under $18 a 4 pack.

    Enjoy

I'm really hoping it makes a comeback.
I was finding them around up until early this year.
Unbelievable how great that one was, although what i liked most was the coconut wasn't too intense. Some people had differing opinions

Also, Where the fuck is this years Willettized?!@?
    Still no answer from Lagunitas

Edit: looks like they have a 2023 Label up online ...and it dropped 1% in abv this year to 12.4%

Looks like it’s now a “highly limited release”

I keep looking on the TW site and it’s still not there. With the new label and drop in ABV by .7 I will still buy a case but cross my fingers as I pay.

    Enjoy

I've been feverishly checking Lagunitas Beer Finder, Bevmo and TW but nothing. We didn't get any in Southern California till December 6th last year....any day now

Considered purchasing a bottle or two of Black Tuesday for bottle share, but checked reviews due to insane pricing ($125ish with tax for two bottles) and appreciate @Resistance88 's take resulting in me leaving the bottles where they stand.

Have a solid beer today. Haven't bought any since due to large cellar backlog and it's a bit pricey though still an imperial stout worth seeking. Coconut and a bit sweet, but very balanced especially after warming. My full cellar review take link here.

I got backlash for that review and my post of it on here .

IMO there is nothing special about that beer besides the high abv and cute bottle.
It's in cans now (i think) , but IMO S.H.I.T is a much better choice .
If the can is around 20 bucks I'd get one if you've never tried it, but at $50+tax here you can F.Off.

Maybe if you split it for the experience cuz afterall YOLO

Yes it's $64.75 with tax for 750 ML, so I'm going to throw that into two similar sized bottles that should be as good or better. Only considered because it is likely many wouldn't have had it before, but there are other great offerings in the same boat.

My days of FOMO are ovah.

Jesus. $125 for black Tuesday? I feel less degen for buying 6 of the 2022 bourbon county barleywine for an average of $40 each. I guarantee Deth’s Tar is at least in the same ballpark as BT for $35 per 4-pack

Missed DBVSOD on Tavour. $17.99 per can. Not sure I would have done it, but it would have been tough

A couple years ago I scored S.H.I.T. cans for $3 each at a liquor store that apparently never entered them into their POS system as unique from other bruery/offshoot. That was a huge score. I gave some away to my favorite bar tenders, I just finished my final can a couple months ago. And unfortunately I probably contributed to the new batches being no longer available in our area since that place probably lost a couple hundred on their sales to me

this must be a regional thing… i never see rev an tavour. guess because im in their distro footprint (although DBVSOD would NEVER be available in my area save maybe on draft)
