...don't think I'll go bonkers with multiple holiday beers (other than a local), but will strive for:
    • Hair of The Dog -- Doggie Claws
    • Pikes Peak Brewing Co. -- AdAmAn (I'll buy a 6-pack of this)
    • Brouwerij Huyghe -- Delirium Noël (Christmas)
...any other beers will likely be single can / bottle purchases, but still working on culling a hell of a backlog of stouts and barleywines (and not all due to the BA Barleywine / Stout BIF #1)...

Anyone know Delirium Noel’s shelf life? (Or better yet, anyone ever do a vertical with it before?)

I'll be crushing my favorite holiday beer; Miller Lite all weekend. The in laws will be here for Christmas so maybe I'll be generous and post a review if I have time in between cleaning up wrapping paper and doing dishes and putting batteries in toys and.... oh boy, I need a beer.

No plans yet. However this thread got me thinking, believe it or not, I have not yet indulged in Celebration yet this year. Maybe if I hold out until Christmas eve it will seem even more special.

Did a shopping trip for this tasting today.
I surprisingly didnt have anything in cellar during first glance.
Many of you know I tend to overbuy for these tastings.
So I feel pretty responsible so far.

Two classics. Fezziwig and Mad Elf and some new to me treats.

    Lets Go!!

Some exceptionally fancy boilermakers (aka citywides) for those looking to kick up their tasting to the next level. Based on his pours, this guy clearly isn’t a beer drinker, but I bet his cocktails are tasty…

Beer and shots, the classic combo. What better way to drink some Sam Adam's beer than with a chaser of snaiquiri, mini daiquiris. Shots are often one spirit, but these days, mini cocktails are a cool and lighter option. Sam Adam's was the first beer I ever had. I took a tour in Boston when I was younger. Their beer always hits the spot.

WINTER LAGER + YACHT CLUB DAIQUIRI
    2 oz Aged Rum
    3/4 oz Orange Curaçao
    3/4 oz Falernum
    3/4 oz Lime

    OLD FEZZWIG + SPICED DAIQUIRI
    1 oz Dark Jamaican Rum
    1 oz Rye whiskey
    3/4 oz Lime
    3/4 oz Simple Syrup
    1 dash NewEngland bitters

    COLD IPA + AMARO DAIQUIRI
    1 oz Rhubarboro Amaro
    1 oz Braulio (Alpine amaro)
    3/4 oz Lime
    3/4 oz Simple Syrup

Each daiquiri makes about 3 to 4 snaiquiris, depending on your shot glasses.

I just had a amaro-infused dark lager last night, and have to admit I still don’t know what amaro is supposed to taste like. One of these days I’ll have to get a bottle and find out.

It was great as a roast-forward dark lager, but I was expecting some gentian root / Moxie herbaceousness or at least some nutmeg and other spices, and didn’t pick up on any of that. Couldn’t tell if my palate was off, I didn’t know what to look for, or the amaro infusion just didn’t add much. Is amaro known as imparting roasty flavors? I’ll revisit again if it’s still on next time I go.

Picked up that one, too. It was a buck more than the four pack of smaller bottles. I’m a sucker for gold rimmed glasses.

Telling it like it is right here. If you only have to put the batteries in the toys, you're winning. The hard part is the putting together, troubleshooting, and figuring out what the eff the thing actually does

Haven't decided yet. I have bottles from the last 24 years, so I might grab a few!

Crazy, I'm barely 24 years old :smirk:

Ok, at least I have some Samiclaus I bought within the past 24 months and I am "looking for an excuse" to drink it, so I might be able to join in.
