I'll just say I preferred GM to MD by a wide margin the two times I tried them side by side. I'm not sure I'd care for either as much these days but that might just be because of the much larger amount of maple coffee stouts that have hit the market in the last 10 years. It's a different kind of stout, but I feel similarly about Huna/Abraxas/BOMB, which were all so unique at the height of their hype.

Dark Lord is the one that I’m probably good on trying again. That shit is motor oil chocolate syrup.

TH does maple syrup better than any brewery I've had. Plus, with my distain for super adjunct/pastry stouts, I feel like GM would be one of my top rated beers

Also given Nate’s online, YouTube and marketing presence. Why the F has he never even mentioned GM again? Like, I’ve never heard a loose reference of it. I think people would be very interested to hear about it. And if they brewed it again with the advent of online purchase and the hype of lines pretty much all but gone, they could easily can this in a two pack or bottle and have a smooth sale.

He always talks about their “experiments” and just drank a 40 year old beer on camera. Brew Good Morning. It would be an experiment of beer, hype, release, perception all in one.

The only reference I remember was a few years ago. Elon tweeted (well before he bought Twitter) "Good Morning" one day, and the TH Twitter account replied to it with some sort of emoji

    Found it:

How could it ever live up to its myth? Also, how do we know they haven't tried to do it already, and ended up with one of the other maple stout bottles they've put out over the years?

Remember, it can't be just as good as it was back then, it would have to be better than it was. Double Shot has changed a good bit over the years, and GM supposedly uses DS as the base, so recreating exactly it is kind of out of the question anyway, its gonna be a modern take on it no matter what. Why not then just give it a new, slightly different name and let the unimpeachable legend stay a legend?

You literally just made my point. Just brew it again and see what happens. He’s made home brew batches recently, blind tastes of macros and other content just for the hell of it and to spread the TH brand. This to me, is a sure easy win for marketing. Even if it’s not at as good, he could easily talk the differences, close beers they’ve made and evolution of stouts. It’s almost a no brainer to me. But, that’s just me. I couldn’t care less if it’s similar to others or wasn’t up to its hype. Nate can just laugh and say, ok, well I have over 100 others beers you can purchase right now instead! This would be a great way to bring the BA group of folks back into the media mix. Given a lot of their content and marketing recently has been to educate and find the cross over consumer(macro to TH/craft)

I know TH might want to avoid controversy in the beer community at this time so if they released GM and it was a dud and everyone has been whipped into a frenzy then it’s not a great look. Especially if he just laughs it off.

At this point it could be just as good on a new release and you would still have the better in Monson crowd taking shots at it anyway. I hope they keep focusing on the barrel program because Truth, Deep Space, and Double-Double flip have been great the past couple of months.

I’m telling you now. There is 0 concern over what happened at TH to the masses where the $$ is coming from. It’s been ever more packed the last few weeks when I’m visiting. That wouldn’t influence a beer brew. They just flew a helicopter of Gillette…hardly flying under the radar. Also brewing a beer that isn’t what people hope for isn’t controversy nor would it cause any.

Drinking Gilded Grove Madeira. Not sure blonde barleywine is for me. It just doesn’t scratch my barleywine itch. I can see some people really liking it though. Huge apple flavor in this particular variation

New $30 BA stout today: Ghosts of the Half Moon

(Barrel-aged Stout, 14%, 500ml, Limit 1PP, No Proxies) Ghosts of the Half-Moon was crafted from a small lot of premium wheated bourbon barrels that we filled with Space & Time in August of 2021. It has aged for over two years before being bottled in December of 2023 for your enjoyment. This special beer came together through the creativity and collaboration of many people and departments, and we are excited to finally share it with you today.

Been a little more selective on BA beers lately, I noticed I had bought a bunch, but they just sat in the back of the fridge. Anyways, grabbed Brownie, skipped the double barrel, I think I’ll grab Ghosts of the Half Moon, love Space and Time

    edit: small lot pappy barrels

According to the Twitter post, they were aged in Pappy Van Winkle barrels

I love how TH still has separate IG and FB line update pages. Like there’s going to be some unposted release or line around a shed. When you order online. Their IG releases page tells you all.

Only TH can pull that off

Aren’t those operated independently? It’s more of a social thing now. Unfortunately I was banned many years ago for saying Very Gggreennn was released when it wasn’t. Low and behold my prediction came through a few years after
