And now for something completely different- a stout with adjuncts that can’t be discerned from the base beer: Dragons Milk Coffee and Chocolate.
It’s actually more bitter than the original, so much for the mocha flavor. Definitely not the pastry stout some of these are.

That's a nice label. Might age it a couple weeks just to look at it.

I tried to purchase it at the Brewery i went to and they were all out. Beertender said if they happened to disappear when we left she wouldn't mind . Left a tip that was more than the cost and then some . It has become one of my favorite glasses to drink big ABV bombers from

That is one of the top three imperial stouts of all the ones I’ve tried. Took it for granted when it was available here (only picked up a 4 pack every year for a special treat) but now it’s not available here.
Beer distribution continues to confuse me.
And yes, there should be a 2024 version of this thread!

Pours a thick, viscous dark brown color; densely spongy, lasting tan head. Aroma mainly cocoa and bourbon; vague raisin and fig notes. Fine blend of flavors; sweet chocolate with a balanced undercurrent of whiskey; dark, dried fruits; anise-like spiciness. Heavy body; lightly velvet-like; coats the palate with fine residual sugar sweetness and alcohol warmth.

    Deliciously sweet and boozy.

First Cycle beer. This is *Trump voice* HUUUUGEE”. 3 year barrel aged with coffee and cinnamon. It’s a little on the sweet side, but not as bad as some of the stuff from Cycle I’ve heard. I went with these adjuncts because of that reason (plus I love them). The 3 years in barrels has imparted tons of coconut. It really tastes like a coconut stout. 12oz would have been good. Probably could have shared it at some point this week, but again, I don’t have many people around who like these big stouts.

Panacea Brewing Netflicks and Chile BBA Imperial Stout, 12.2% ABV. Pours thin and black with a small head that dissipated faster than I could line up the shot. Nose is chocolate, bourbon, and chile peppers. Taste is chocolate up front, then chile peppers, some bourbon, and heartburn on the close. Thin mouthfeel with light carbonation, overall very good.

As far as a rating, I can't officially review this until I can identify the brewery. I can't find any evidence of a Panacea Brewing in Sioux Falls, as it says on the label. Panacea LLC owns Remedy brewing, so I suspect that Remedy brewed this ahead of some announcement. I'll do an official review when I know more, but I'd rate this no more than 3.90.

This beer loses points based on taking about 10 minutes to open it, due to the plasticized armor that only served to piss me off while keeping me away from the expensive beer I paid for. Brewers need to stop doing this, it's pointless and dangerous.
