What beer are you drinking now? #4081

Another beer from the Costco Beer Advent calendar on a cool Friday night. Had been a rainy day, but its clear now. Hopefully it stays that way tomorrow.

 

Now that’s a beautiful head, and in proper attire!

 

A rare early morning appearance for me because I've been awake since 4am and there's much to do. Grabbed a Celebration from the garage fridge along with the 25lbs of pork butt for the kielbasa I need to get working on. Have yourselves a festive day!

It's going to be a lot of water and no beer for awhile. Had total hip replacement two days ago. Cheers and Merry Christmas to all.

Good morning all. This one sounds strange, but is rather tasty. Cheers all.

 

Is it made in Tahiti or contract brewed elsewhere? A lot of beers from island countries/territories like Tahiti that we get in the US are actually made in the US, or even Europe. I did however had this beer in Japan once and it was actually made in Tahiti.

 

Damn! Reading the description, it sounds like something I NEED to drink!

Good day BAs! Off to an overcast start here on the tundra of NW PA, 36F/4C with rain moving in in a couple of hours. @Shanex, thanks for starting the thread! The last time we exchanged xmas gifts outside the immediate family, I was asked what I though of the beers I was given. I gave them an off-the-top-of-the-head review of each beer. That was the last time we exchanged gifts, diplomacy never being my strong suite.

Today's New Breakfast Beer:



Although the spruce terpenes don’t come through in the flavor, I’ll give them points for using needles rather than “Natural Flavors”. The flavor isn’t anything special, not bad, just not exceptional, with the pears most prevalent in the aroma. The earthy herbaceousness of the nose is good but much weaker in the flavor. Still, for the price point, I can’t complain. Rating 3.74, rDev -1.6%

Bottled 2023. Poured at 52°. A perfectly ok coffee stout…tasting notes shortly on NBW…

Brother Brian has to go in to work at the restaurant today, so I’ll see him around midnight. My shopping/Xmas stuff is finished, so I’m gonna lay around the shack ‘till the mail train comes back, drinking my fill of tasty beers - Cheers y’all and have a great Saturday!

I hope you have a speedy recovery. I know a few folks who had hip and/or knee replacement and just about all of them say they wish they had done it sooner. No beer for awhile does not sound like fun but you will be happy with the results.
