@MutuelsMark since you're asking, here is some advice. Advice that is coming from me personally, not as a mod, mind you.

Pace yourself. People tend to view someone suddenly starting a ton of threads in a short time as spammy, and then you get a reputation. Also, as some have mentioned, when starting a thread, make sure the topic hasn't been covered recently. If it has, then just post your thoughts in that thread - don't start a new one.

Thank you, appreciate the advice. I asked, obviously cause I realized I had been starting quite a few threads and certainly do not want to be spammy (great term BTW). I will pump the brakes somewhat or at least downshift.

If we only posted when we had something worth saying most of us would have a post count of zero!

    Cheers!

It almost works that way . Buttt...... if you're into illustrating the Law of Diminishing Returns , have at it . :heavymetal: :smirk:
No . Not for you . Your posts save us all from buying a bunch of books. :+1: You're our beer encyclopedia. :beers:

It's worth saying: I can't agree with that. Even though I'm a bigger smart-ass than Philip Marlowe or Hawkeye Pierce at times, I try to respond to threads with my knowledge and experience with beer.

I'd like to think "most" BA members aren't just posting drivel.

Maybe I needed a /s at the end of the sentence!

    Cheers!

WBAYDN is all about posting more than once and, since I've been a member, even more than just beer pics.

It's been a forum (the virtual bar) to make friends, share music, funny stories and basic camaraderie. If that turns into numerous posts in a day, then so be it. Without that daily thread, I would never have met one of my closest friends @jzeilinger .

As long as someone isn't trolling other members, which was a HUGE problem years ago; people with multiple accounts and just being a dick....Where's the harm?

To add to this great advice, you'll also burn yourself and others out by forcing too many new threads, resulting in fewer replies to your threads.
I recommend writing down your ideas for new threads, refine them, create clear titles (I've had to alter a some of yours already as they were too vague), and then post the ones that you think will benefit the community the most. Not all at once, but maybe one or two a week.

In between this, scan the forums for existing threads that interest you and reply if you feel that you've got something to contribute to the discussion.

And what @beerjerk666 said. Assuming that you're drinking while participating, I'd check out the daily What beer are you drinking now?, weekly New Beer Weekend threads, and the periodic tasting threads that occur. All great outlets for those looking to post frequently and connect with others.
