    Hey there, BA!

Today is a rare day where I have had not one, not two, but six beers! What is the world coming to?

The first four beers were at a microbrewery 20km down the road from where we're holidaying, called Quantum Brewing, in the sleepy town of Moruya. The first beer I had there was their Columbus Pale, a big caramelly throwback C hop pale ale from yesteryear. That beer is the first one on display below. The next beer on display is a Kronenbourg 1664, shown here only to show off the crappy day I endured weatherwise and to prove that my tough, resilient Aussie hide will head to the beach no matter the gloom!

    Cheers!

I’ll have only one beer here, but I’ll make it a worthy one: Duvel.

Hey, @Shanex, here's a live version of that song for you and an extra beer for good measure!

    Cheers!

Good morning but not for me Advocates,
another Derby lost last night and for a community that breathes and lives on As Roma it is a very disheartening moment...
Much better to talk about beers.

Radiocraft Brewery (Albano, ITA) - BOA SORTE - Catharina Sour with Guava and Maracuja (6%)

Many will know it well, it's a Brazilian beer style but which starts from the German tradition of Berliner Weisse (wheat base) to which local tropical fruits typical of Brazil have been added to give it a more typical characterization of the place and social context.
This sees the addition of Guava and Maracuja (no syrups, fruits of the earth).
The scent is the tropical one of an ACE juice, when poured it is yellow like the pulp of a fruit and a little cloudy.
    Virtually non-existent foam.
Light body, it lacks carbonation at the level of such a "beach beer", made to quench your thirst with taste.
In the mouth the entry is entirely characterized by the tropical fruitiness of the exotic fruits used, followed by a sour note, but with minimal astringency, typical of Guava.
In the aftertaste, on the finish, light but easily recognizable notes of cereal (malted wheat).
Discreet beer but which has little of a purely distinctive character from the large offer offered by the market.
I cannot fail to underline how, for my tastes, it lacks carbonation: a different fizziness would certainly have given it more liveliness, character and also a more streamlined and pleasant drinkability, making it more beer than fruit juice.

Good day BAs! Thanks @AzfromOz for starting us off - nice leg shot! And @Todd, good to see you putting in an appearance. And @Jack_14 - excellent review as always!
Off to another cool start - 31F/0C - and allegedly light snow but I can't see any. The third load of laundry just went into the washer and the second into the dryer - today's morning plan.

Another good brew from the PNW, courtesy @muchloveforhops3 and BSBIF#1.

Final impression and summation: 4 – Not as over-spiced as most winter warmers, this allows the base malt bill to drive the flavor with a helping hand from the hops – probably the best winter warmer I’ve had. Thanks Doug!

Hey BA's and happy Thursday.....day 11 of my dry month....going well thus far - dropped 4 lbs since the start of January, and am getting to the gym 3 times a week, so I am sure that is helping!

Really like this Pils from GO Brewing - quite tasty!

Hi there BAs. Thanks @AzfromOz for rippin' open today's thread. Hoping you're havin' a really nice vacation. I'm headed to FL and the weather forecast doesn't look super but 60F beats the feckin' shite outa 14F. It's just gonna be nice to see some famdamly and GTF outa my haus. Packing the luggage with Ding Ding now and enjoying this Back Channel Ballooney Bin WCIPA. I must say, WC style is and has always been my fave over NE/Hazies. But there are some Hazies out there that are incredible. I look frwd to someday having a Treehouse flagship Hazy and a simple bottle of RR Pliny The Elder as these are consistently regarded as top end. Not in a hurry. It'll happen. >> In my journey this week I'll try to nab some new brews and maybe even check out a couple of breweries if time allows. Cheers!!

Corner store was out of Heineken 0.0 unfortunately. So this was the only choice for me without traveling further. Figured fuck it might as well try it. I like Heineken 0.0 more.

    Cheers y'all!
