Went to RC to pick up my order around 4:30pm.

Asked if they had anymore 10X Stout by any chance, and they were like "yeah we got a few bottles left". So I snagged one even though it was sold out since 10am on the website. Guy who sat next to me 20 minutes later saw mine and was like "how did you get that?"...and they still had one for him as well.

So they were holding some things back. They were just selling them to-go with the rest of the 4-packs at the front.

Random question: I was planning on hitting Queue Beer Bar with some friends around 7 Saturday night (2/10). Was anyone that was at the Anniversary party last year able to speak to the spillover here into the evening? Trying to get a sense of how crazy this spot might be given that it typically is low key.

It got crowded after Green City and Stout Season but not too bad. No problem getting a seat or a beer.
Additionally, the OH friends and family party is 6p-? on that day so won’t get a lot of guest brewers and OH staff heading to Queue after the day festival.

I liked the Brooklyn IPA best out of the 3 IPAs and Finger Lakes the least. I typically prefer the lower ABV IPAs they offer.
The batch of BA Bananaversary was great on tap.

I flubbed buying anything yesterday morning, last night all the stouts were available but the single and triple were sold out. Now almost everything shows sold out oof. Assume they just need to update so I will see what happens. I do see Domino Park has all the IPAs so worst case I can grab from there

They posted on Instagram that the taproom will not be open after the event.

I saw that as well, looks like they will be open prior and during for pick ups, so going to head over early to grab whatever I manage to get

So my initial take away is I liked the DC DIPA over the BK TIPA but I also had the TIPA right after some spicy food Saturday and I think I need to try it again before making a real decision on that one. How was the anniversary festival?

Flx single ipa was nice. OH really killing it with singles lately in my opinion. I the past their 8 percent and above beers were in a different class.

The 10x stout is so sweet and thick. Way too much. Like drinking maple syrup.

Big riwaka vibes is pretty damn good. If you like that hop in a non-DIPA but still hop dense package that will fit the bill. I'm curious about some of the recent single IPAs. Anyone have the new batches of mosaic dream or green pastures? I'm eyeing those for my next pickup

That's a bummer, I feel like their stouts overall have gotten a lot more balanced (less sweet) over the past two or three years (with the exception of some over the top brews which are easy to spot). I thought Friyay was one of the best they'd ever made, as a big fan of those straight coffee notes with vanilla and/or nuts.

Still pretty ridiculous how long it's been since we got a Short Dark canning.

I'd wait in a cold line for Short Dark again, that saying something. I do agree that more of the stouts have been a bit more balanced or at least less cloying than before.

I opened one of my bottles of 10X over the weekend and took immediate satisfaction on buying multiple. I thoroughly enjoyed the flavor, which I did not find to be excessively sweet, and the mouthfeel was divine.

I am intrigued to open my bottle, it seems untappd reviews are a bit across the board as well. Even if I love it I don't think I could bring myself to buy multiple at the price point
