A gloomy, rainy Sunday, so I'm not out in my courtyard though I have a pupper named Moe sitting on my lap, while finishing this and reading this afternoon

Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout 2022, 13.2% ABV. I previously rated this 4.65. Strong chocolate in this one. Big beer for the big day. BBQ shredded pork in the crock.

For those of you doing a shot every time they show or mention Swift, you won't last until halftime.

 

Stouterik, an Irish Dry Stout from Brasserie de la Senne, which has popped up on draft around Chicago lately. Tasty!

I saved the last Helles from the Costco calendar so I could find the matching (but way older) mug in my cabinet.

The beer itself is not so good as I find it has more in common with watered down apple juice than a Helles...

Great Ape, 10.5% IIIPA from King Cong, at Mojo's. Unsurprisingly, they are out of PtY today.

 

Well, I was planning on watching my Lady Hoosiers play Purdue right now but it's on Big10+ and we don't have a subscription so watching Kaitlyn Clark inch closer to the NCAA scoring record instead.

Weather is warm today but depressingly overcast & drizzly. Pre-gaming with an American favorite Hamm's and making some jerk chicken wings via @LarryV recipe. I found the Walkerswood season at Kroger. Went with the mild version.

One thing that is impressive about Hamm's, for an AAL it has a head that sticks around a while. Dressed it up a bit using a fancy glass. Makes me feel all classy and such. Cheers BA's!

 

The weather's still warm today so I pulled out one of the last lighter beers I have. Looks like winter will be back with a vengeance on Tuesday with over a foot of snow forecast, colder temps, and the return of the nearly constant winter winds.

Sorry your Helles disappointed, @jkblr. This one is top notch.
