1) Toppling Goliath Nepo Baby (7.8% canned 11/21/23): A NEIPA from Iowa with Strata, Nelson, and Riwaka for flavors of grapefruit, orange and lemon citrus, tropical pineapple. Phenolic and gasoline flavor with a burn on the end.

2) Toppling Goliath Broccoli Special Reserve (8.3% canned 1/23/24): A NEIPA from Iowa with Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe, Blanc for flavors of mango, sweet orange, pineapple, green grape, and lychee. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner:
2) Toppling Goliath Broccoli Special Reserve: Toppling Goliath NEIPA Battle. First is Nepo Baby a collab with BlackStack. Underwhelmed after revisiting it multiple time. It always drank hot with a burning mouthfeel. I kept saying it needed to age a bit. Well now it's a 3 months and not terrible, but still underwhelming. Has a gasoline and phenolic-type of burn to it still that sort of suppresses the flavors you'd expect from the hops in here. This collab just didn't turn out
Up against Broccoli Special Reserve, a take on Other Half's beer. This one is outstanding. The hops in here pop with complex flavors from the Blanc with lychee, green grape, and melon. Bigger and sweeter, but matches it with the flavors. Another great release from Toppling Goliath!

Department of Natural Resources upped the limit of oysters we can harvest. At this size the bucket fills up fast. Cheers!

 

I'm seeing absolutely no broccoli in that beer. I demand justice!

 

A nice day, but windy as hell. Tough playing golf when you feel like you'll be blown over.
Elevated IPA after the round.

 

I think i will join you with Tori’s Pistoles. Boy, this one was a palate awakened first time i had it many years ago. Still a very enjoyable beer!

Just finished up with a very busy day of work, having a Stone IPA and relaxing. Jerked wings coming up for dinner ...

 

Doppelsticke, an Altbier from Uerige Obergarige Hausbrauerei. This was all red licorice and booze hear; I didn't care for this!
