We were just in San Diego for a couple days and able to stop at North Park. They had just released Crispy Fu which is awesome!

A Pilsner brewed with Riwaka New Zealand hops from Radiant called Mind Gardens. Some brief malty flavors and then a lot of grapefruit. Rather light but clean and crisp with a distinct bitter aftertaste. This would be elegant with a lighter touch on the hops.

I am not running out of these new Pilsner types. This is Beer Paper Boy from GameCraft-- located in some freeway-side backwater but they make reliably excellent beer. The Phantasm brings out a hoppy taste that is quite bold, and I'd say a little goes a long way, but it seems to play well with the Nelson hops. Tastes of white grapes especially. Mellow and fruity and distinctly sweet.

Enegren single hop Pilsner with new hop HBC 1134. 1134 was bred for use in lagers and does not disappoint. I’m glad to see that US hop breeders are still developing something other than the “tropical” hops that seem to get all of the attention these days.

I've been meaning to go out and get a pack of this . It's no secret they Enegren always nails it

I had the Urban Roots 16° this weekend. It’s definitely sweeter than I was expecting, but I’ve never had a style of beer before so I did not know what to expect.

It actually reminded me quite a bit of the Enegren Christmas Bock, which makes me wonder what the difference is between this beer and a bock?

It’s back! I just stopped in at Whole Foods, and was very happy to find five week old Firestone Walker Pivo Pils. When this beer was last released, I picked it up the week it hit the shelves and it was already four months old. I can hardly believe that these cans are dated 1/15/24, but I am not going to complain.

    It's def fuckin good.
Can always get it at the Propagator if ya didn't already know.
Grabbed a single of this and enjoying now.
No secret that Everywhere, although pricier than a LOT of other places, but still cheaperthan drinkingat a bar or taproom, makes ok lagers

Thanks for the recommendation, I don’t think I’ve seen Everwhere yet, but their Italian Pils uses the same hops as Pivo, hopefully I will run into that soon and compare the two.

Mopeds in Milan from The Lost Abbey. Italian style Pils.

Pretty meh, honestly. Best by is 5/9 but this already tastes kind of stale. Like the hops are old. Also the malt profile is pretty incoherent. Not something I'll return to

That’s too bad, I don’t think I’ve seen any non-Belgian style beers from them, maybe they need to stick to what they’re good at?
I’ve seen Pivo at a few stores now, as long as Pivo is fresh and available, I’m set for Italian Pilsners.

    weird.

Was it not HopConcept their IPA branch and not Lost Abbey?

Actually i think i saw HopConcept was branching off or someshit

So much drama surrounding Lost Abbey its impossible to keep up

No its them, new style of labels on the cans. Showed up around the time hop concept disappeared.

They all look like this label style

That's just the one I could pull up quickly. Seen a couple IPAs and the Italian pilsner I had today

I just saw Stone Pilsner at the grocery store. I’m sure I’ll buy it at some point, but has anyone else tried it?
It’s hopped with Cashmere and Vista, I’m not really familiar with either of those, but I’m hoping it’s not a tropical fruit bomb.
