Don’t have a picture but I was recently in Albuquerque and it seems like blue corn lagers are very popular there. Had a few and can totally see why. As crushable as any of your staple AAL’s but with a snappy and grainy mouthfeel that cuts through sweetness in the way you’d expect from the hops of a WCIPA. May be overthinking that one but it shows the complexity and versatility of lagers that’s often overlooked

I'm forever grateful to you for turning me on to this top tier pilsner. Ironically, it seems to be struggling in our local market. Beautifully, they opened a tasting room in the East Bay that features a little more diversity on tap, so that is high on my visit list and it gives me hope they are succeeding broadly even if they aren't killing in my market.

I also really appreciate you turning me on to a beer that doesn't even effect you

The situation has improved in my area with Russian River's decision to can six packs of STS Pils and Velvet Glow Helles. It's a recent development and for now I can pick them up fairly easily. We've always had Trumer Pils and now FW Pivo is back in the game so hopefully the local craft lager situation is on the way up. Moonlight's Reality Czech and Death & Taxes (Black Lager) are available as well.

For some reason we don't see it up this way. As a result, I tend to forget all about it. You're right however. It's an excellent, well crafted pils style lager.

The one chance I had to try this beer I passed, I’m still annoyed I didn’t get a pour every time it comes up.

In Seattle, at Pacific Inn, fish n chips, too tired, too early, body was saying no to a beer. I highly recommend this dive bar for fish n chips though; neat little spot.

Cold Time by Revolution. Is going to be a regular part of my lager rotation.
This is what brewers may refer to as shift beer material. Easy going in all the right ways.

Back in the day Trumer Pils was distributed to Delaware and when I visited Total Wine & More in Claymont, DE I would often pick up a six-pack of Trumer Pils. I enjoyed drinking those beers. I was bummed when the brewery decided to no longer distribute to Delaware. :slight_frown:

    Cheers!

Trumer recently opened a taproom at the brewery with a five-barrel pilot system for making styes other than Pils. I haven't visited yet. I should put it on the summer to do list.

Is the brewery located in the old Pyramid brewing facility? Also, is there any parking around there? I don't get down that way very often any more (and hate the interstate traffic), but it would be tempting to visit the taproom.

I'm not that familiar with the area. In looking at the map may main concern was how close it is to a BART station (20 minutes walk) as I and a few friends would most likely want to take public transit. It's located on 4th Street north of University not too far from HWY 80.

Public transportation is definitely the way to go around that part of Berkeley. Unfortunately, that's really not an option for me if I'm heading south on 80.

The old Pyramid facility did have some limited parking, and I'm assuming that's where Trumer is now located. Looks like it, from what I see on the map. So a stop off might be possible. I just hate driving around there. Usually, I can't get through the Bay bridge maze quickly enough.

Nice to know there is a taproom now. I'm going to be visiting family in early April in Concord and hope to find time to visit the place. I'll probably take BART, but I'll look at the parking options too if I am able to visit there.

That's crazy dangerous. All brewed by Trumer Berkeley? Interesting that they're all priced identical.

ISO -- Trumer Vienna... and Helles.

You lucky so and so. I've had beers from all of those except Notch but I know Chris Lohring has a great rep. Those are some outstanding breweries. Have not had a bad beer from any of them. Cheers!
