I'm going to be in Summit New Jersey for a four-day weekend at the end of the month. What would be the best bottleshops for me to hit up while I'm there?

I would hit up Liquor Outlet in Boonton. Great selection. Bit of a drive from Summit but worth it.

Second Gary's Madison, also Bottle King in Chatham (a block from Twin Elephant Brewing - which as also noted is a great stop and have a number of cans available). If interested in Brewery stops, I'd also recommend Oak Flower Brewing which is only about 15 minutes away, is a really nice space and they are making great beers - also with a variety of cans available. There's also a large wine shop on Springfield Ave in Summit, The Wine List that I think has a decent assortment of cans, but I cant say for sure if its a good source as I have not personally gone there for beer anytime recently

Definitely hit up Oakflower. Great hop forward beers, great lagers, great saisons.

Twin Elephant is known for IPAs, but has all their styles dialed in.

Untied in New Providence is near Summit, too. I always have good beer from them. Again, across all styles. I feel like they fly under the radar, but as the kids say, I wouldn't sleep on them.

Bull n Bear Brewery is on Springfield Avenue in the heart of Summit. It specializes in European styles. As for bottle shops, Gary's in Madison and Bottle King in Chatham (bordering Summit) both have good selections of local beers.

Bottle King in Chatham has one of the larger selections in the area and for sure the best prices. Wine List in downtown Summit also good. Josh and Luis run the shop and are super knowledgeable and good guys. Oakflower in Millington is worth the 20 min drive (or train ride- it’s right across the street from the station) and further south you have Kane and Icarus. Enjoy the visit!
