If On and On 5 artwork also features a giant mushroom head, can we all agree that Matt Gordon needs to get laid…or at the very least buy the guy some shiitakes?

 

I know I complain about this every year, but Navaja being brewery-only is garbage. Smart choice to call it a "triple IPA" now, though; sounds flashier!

 

I still think back fondly of the keg I picked up in April 2020. That was a fun month.

 

Good catch. Completely passed by me that it's now branded as a 'Triple IPA'. Yeah, the brewery only thing sucks, agreed.

 

Shame they didn’t bring back Akari Shogun to drink alongside FX’s epic Shogun miniseries.

 

No mention of a returning Troon collab in their April teaser.

 

Scored some cans. This one sounds right up my alley. Either they made a bunch or people aren't too interested. Still not sold out.

 

Whatever the reason, I'm glad...completely forgot about this but was able to score these at 12:30!

Fridays for me = usually stay home & go to sleep at like 9pm. It's the only competition for Sunday as the day I most act like a hermit.

 

Great to see Beer Hates Astronauts popping up around town! A pretty fun stop at the brewery to be able to have that, Vallejo and Navaja on draft. I will be stopping in!

 

Beer Hates Astronauts is tasting great. This lot of citra is delightful, the orange flavors pops like candy or a dreamsicle.

 

It's not hazy. It's not sexy. It's not new. But I'm glad HA still releases Vallejo (and selfishly, still locally distributes. Wish it were still the case for Heyoka as well....). Also the Vallejo artwork by Phineas X Jones is fantastic & glad HA still uses it (not sure Phineas still does new HA labels? seems not). Proudly have my Vallejo tin tacker hanging.

 

Having just enjoyed a pint of Vallejo, and still enjoying the latest BHA....

WE STILL WANT NAVAJA out here in the wilds. It's the frontier, man, we're just tryin' to survive and they're holdin' back.

I had fresh Navaja from the Half Acre teat recently, and...yeah, that beer is great. I'm not even much into IPA's these days but this one turned my head.

 

Double Barrel 2x4 Benthic 16.9% ABV
Double Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout
with Toasted Coconut, Vanilla, and Coffee

We close out Stout Season with the final barrel aged release from the 2023 Benthic batch. Double Barrel 2x4 takes the Benthic series biggest, most integrated variant and multiplies the sensory levels by doubling the coffee and coconut to epic proportions.
