    Revisited March 15th, 2024

    Orange and brown body, lightly cloudy; decent initial carbonation that fizzed away to nothing in short order. Heavy wood nose with earthy, fruity sweetness; blackberry with a minuscule touch of orange and cherry. leather and tobacco notes. Big, boozy and sweet taste; primarily dense flavors of dried and candied fruits; cherries and orange; figs and anise. Heavy, syrupy body; dense residual sugars; comforting alcohol warmth permeates the beer; lightly sticky.

    Compared to the 2016 version, this one gets dinged a bit in the looks and smell departments, but it otherwise rises to the fine taste and mouthfeel of the newer version. Another example of nicely aged / cellared Hair of The Dog beer.

    ...the below image wasn't anywhere near all the shoveling I did, but gives an idea of the amount of snow we got over the past 24+ hours...definitely needed a path to the 'Fortress of Solitude'...:grin:

    When an Italian conglomerate bought out the company I used to work at, they gave every employee a book called, "Who Moved My Cheese". I could've used that book again for this move to The Bar. :crazy_face:
