Too bad they aren’t going to distribute it in stores. I have no interest in buying SN online, even if they shipped to my state.

Every time I see that list I hope to randomly see two new letters N and J. So far I’ve had no luck with hoping…

Make friends with someone on the other side of the Delaware? (Someone who doesn't like beer, ideally).

Me? I like not seeing "NJ" - eliminates the costly temptation.

A good, and true, way to look at it.

I succumbed to the temptation because pale bocks/maibocks are my favorite beer style, and conveniently I'm going to be in CA in a week (they won't ship to Michigan), and I can have it shipped to my daughter's house. Oh, and I succumbed to the free shipping offer by loading up the cart to bust thru the $100 threshold. I only hope the beer arrives before I have to drive back home.

Kellerweis will be DTC in May it seems. Similar to others, still waiting for IL to appear on the list of DTC states. It should be automagically appearing soon I'm thinking.

Still not sure those DTC prices are in my beer budget -- fortunately we have plenty of locals brewing good alternative options.

Now you have me rethinking this. Last time I looked both Porter and Stout were available.

I remember seeing the Porter, and I considered adding it to my order, but can't say I remember the stout. I wasn't looking for it, though maybe I should have been.

They’re both there, it is what contributed to my post

I find it odd they don’t ship to most states. Originally SN did not ship to PA. I mentioned that many others did ship here and it was changed. I have ordered twice. Both times for the Spice BA Bigfoot. The porter stout and all are good but the cost is a bit much for what you get. Certain beers have not been part of free shipping. I also find it odd the large format BA Bigfoot in the fancy tube was online but I ended up finding 4 bottles local at less than the price online. Sure I wanted the dark beers and Keller back but for me online is not the option I want. I hope it is selling well. I think a small re tail release would be a cool thing. Sell it as limited. Is it extra work/expense to do this? Does shipping and packing not cost even more to sell 12 packs online?

    Enjoy

I’ve always wondered this too, limited seems to make things sell. Couldn’t they just be conservative and make a small amount, ensuring its sale? Must be a reason they don’t but I sure wish they did.

Well, the 'trick' is that their wholesale distributors would have to commit to ordering those beers. Maybe for some of the larger distributors it is a nuisance to just order/handle a brand with limited availability?

For example, to send a few cases to certain accounts (retailers) and not provide them to other accounts (which might cause hard feelings?).

    Cheers!

    What a pisser.
I would be seeking new accommodations if I dropped $100 on beer just to get free shipping. My wife would have my cajones in a sling.
Too bad, because the bock is my favorite beer that they brew that I have had.
I'll just have to have Ayinger Maibock instead. Poor me.

Share it with your wife, that's my logic. And she loves most of my choices when I bring new beers home.

The SN online store is cost prohibitive for me. However, the Chico brewery is on my list of kick-ass things/places to experience. I can wait.
