Lexington Brewing Kentucky Old Fashioned Bourbon Barrel Ale

 

1) Hop Butcher Kielbasa King (7.5% canned 12/27/23): A NEIPA from Chicago with Mosaic and Nelson for flavors of white citrus, grape, overripe berry, melon.
versus
2) Hop Butcher Blazed Green Relish (8.0% canned 2/6/24): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra, Strata, and Sabro for flavors of fresh orange, green papaya, and zesty citrus. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner:
1) Hop Butcher Kielbasa King: Another great Hop Butcher IPA Battle. First is Kielbasa King. Great combo of Nelson and Mosaic. Still drinking solid approaching four months so I'm going to keep drinking these.
Next is Blazed Green Relish. A bit of Sabro for some green guava, coconut, pineapple flavors. Also very good. It just doesn't rip quite the way Kielbasa King does when fresh. Kielbasa King could be one of their best, and I'm still amazed at the flavors holding up here at about four months.

Awesome! If i recall from the Barleywine/Stout BIF, you play the drums too which amazes my left sided brain! Do you play any other instruments?
Me, i appreciate listening to musicians and drinking in the creativity of brewers, this one being from Heist in Charlotte.

Can’t believe I’ve not rated this one, though Houblon Chouffe was the main beer I had from this brewery back in the day, not La Chouffe blond.


Drinking up after a trip to the endodontist, a diagnostic visit that led to a future appointment - I hope you don’t have experience with what that means, but even if not, I’m sure you can make a couple good guesses.

 

Cascade Classic Pale Ale, from Equal Parts, in the glass. Definitely classic, and I love it.

Eberhard Weber's Little Movements spinning. Excellent album.
