I really want to finish out the states one of these days. Getting close on the styles as well. Definitely got my work cut out for me with regard to countries, however

I couple days ago i got a Mexican badge from Untappd...so there's that.

 

120 Styles / 61 Countries / 48 States.

Missing Arkansas, New Mexico, and South Dakota (it's 3 because DC is in the BA count)

 

34 styles / 11 countries / and 12 states compose my BA count.

When I first started reviewing beers here I was mostly writing about beers that I had previously consumed. Once I realized how totally asinine that was (my preferences/opinions/memories may have changed or deteriorated over the years and I wish to write the most accurate and helpful reviews that I can) I switched to only reviewing beers that I had just finished drinking.

Missing one style (Czech Amber Lager) and one "state" (Nevada). Ironically, I've managed to tick 41 countries without international travel but probably only 10 of those were local purchases. For the rest, I had to go to the big city...

Like @bbtkd, I've completed a few "style quests." I don't remember the complete history. There were 104 when I joined. Then it became 111. Now it's 120. That first one was a bitch. I had to order a Roggenbier from a store in Cali (don't remember which one). The shipping was three times the cost of the beer. I found Kvass at a Ukranian grocery store in Columbus and Happoshu at Weiland's Market, also in Columbus. Sahti was the other tough nut to crack. At least I have an ace in the hole in case Lithuanian Triple Bock ever makes the roster.

Since that Roggenbier fiasco, I've found three Iowa-brewed Roggenbiers on the store shelves here, two by Gezellig (Newton) and one by Allerton (Independence). I had Gezellig's All Roggs Go To Heaven, an Elijah Craig barrel-aged imperial Roggenbier, in my Christmas lineup this past season.

 

Yup, same here 104/111/120. To get my 104th, Gruit, I drove four hours one-way to Oliphant Brewing in Wisconsin to bag that one on tap. I made it a one-day shopping trip for the womenfolk, and a beer-shopping trip for my son and I. The aggravating thing is that I saw that same Gruit at Cassanova liquor in Wisconsin a few months earlier, laughed at the name "Groot" and then on the drive home realized it was the Gruit style I'd been hunting for. This time around, I still have Czech Amber to Czech off.

As far as countries, I'd have a lot more if I had been into craft when I traveled a lot internationally. I'd have all 51 'states' too with domestic travel.
