I have six cans of this beer sitting in my refrigerator from yesterday's purchase. I can't wait to drink that first can.

    Cheers!

According to the title of your thread, you’re drinking a dead beer—i.e., grave robbing

I go through phases of drinking Swami’s and I am also shocked at how bitter that beer is on the first couple of drinks. Once my taste buds are anesthetized by a 1/2 can or so, the bitterness blends right in, but those first couple of tastes are a doozy.

Sorry to revive a somewhat dead thread, but I was feeling inspired by it during my latest beer run.

But given Todd's recent "What's the largest percentage of your beer intake" I'm wondering if I should branch out a bit.

I shared one of my Ruinations with someone who got into beer in the last five years. Needless to say, they hated it.

worth it for the look on their face as they pretended it wasn’t that bad

That label makes the beer sound quite appealing to me. I am sorry you didn't enjoy it and I am sorry I may never encounter it.

God, I thought Hop Stoopid was a low quality IPA back when I first started having it in bombers.

    Now, I'd kill for it.

I always called it the east coast response to Pliny. Hazy yes but a NEIPA, no.

I’ve had fresh Union Jack in the last month. We recently started getting Wicked Weed in NJ. I’ve had Pernicious and Freak of Nature and I thought both were terrific. Not dead!!
