Wow... That's a sh!tty rebrand... Why can't they put Boston lager in the pastel Crayola can?

I have a very different experience than you, apparently. Out here in Western Massachusetts most liquor stores / grocery stores that sell beer have stovepipes of DFH 90 available for like, $3.50. Usually it's pretty fresh too.

Breweries hire graphic designers who love breaking all of the 'rules' of graphic design. And this is what they get.

    Eek.

I don’t know about being revelant but Dogfish is now just one of a lot of good breweries that gets lost in the flood of good breweries.

Ha! Apparently I'm in the minority - I don't mind the latest rebrand. I wasn't originally a huge fan of the previous rebrand from the previous admittedly boring labels to this:

(thanks, @jonphisher for this lovely brew to enjoy with some hockey)

It looks like their new labels are continuing the direction of using artists concepts in their labeling, though I have no idea if this is the actual effort.

@Resistance88 - Jon seems to be playing Santa Claus to a couple of us.

Maybe 90, don’t bother with the 60. Shame, used to be awesome.

Just found Palo at a TW, is this now in distro or did I get lucky? It was in DE but I thought it was a brewery only.

    Enjoy

I like sharing beer  @cjgiant mentioned it quite a bit in this thread and we met up for beers locally a few weeks ago so we swapped some beers.

You…It’s a dark big beer that has been unadjuncted and is completely unique…:beers:

I believe it was brewery only but then it seems, based on yours and my experience, made its way out to some places in Delaware.

Mine was purchased at a store in Lewes, very close to the brewery.

My guess is that availability of Dog Fish Head might have changed when Boston Beer took over. If Boston Beer changed the DFH brand to their distributor, it might have received more of less attention, depending on the distributor's whims.

it looks like they’re giving Sapporo/ Anchor a run for their money in a shitty redesign competition. Glad to see Palo Santo back, isn’t that the one that they had a huge wood vessel that they could not find a replacement for once the wood flavoring was all leached out?

yeah i think they were able to replace single staves to reinvigorate the flavor, but the only skilled repair techs were in south america and needed to be flown up quite frequently.. or at least thats what i heard. i could be totally wrong

and on the shitty label thing, i'm so bummed that other half didn't go retro on their 60 minute label

Of course DFH is relevant. Just because all their brews haven’t been aged in bourbon barrels doesn’t mean they aren’t relevant. They were pushing the boundaries when we still thought AAL’s were worth drinking. And let’s not overlook 90, world class and readily available. Jeez!
