Looks like the font from a 90s newspaper comic.

Have 3 glasses from TG myself I didn't even pursue that are 100x cooler than this.

Have a story about those teku's. My wife and I use to have 2 old school ones with the cool writing, it was my favorite glass. Mine broke first, then my wife's a few years later. Was desperate to get another one, even with the new font, and looked on TG merch website. No luck. I called the brewery and left a voicemail for the merch shop asking if they by chance had any extras around I would love to buy one. I got a call back from the head marketing lady at TG a day or two later telling me they were completely out of them, besides one last one that they used for social media post. "Damn no way I can get that one then" I said. But she was able to talk to her boss and told me, " actually we got it in a box and are ready to send it your way, we just need your address". Definitely one of the cooler moves I've ever had a brewery do for me. So I guess long story short I got the last King Sue Teku. Its my pride and joy.

That is actually super cool of them. The old school King Sue teku you mentioned with the brushstroke font orange writing was my OG glassware whale but those damn things never survive any real world use.

Sounds like the Teku’s committed suicide. They probably knew their shape is the silliest ever. I see this in my mind like the Monty pythons scene with the leaves.

Pseudo Sue fans may be interested in these. Two of my favorite hops so I'll be looking out for these anyway. Hopefully they make their way out here.

Nelson Dry Hop was dank when I had it on tap back in 2018ish.

Two releases in the next two months, in case anyone around here is still interested in these sorts of things and isn't getting this sort of information via social media.

15th anniversary stout: Saturday, May 4th at 11:00 am. First come, first served, $50 for a bomber. KBBS Reserve and other beers will be on draft. I'm sort of bummed I'll be out of town for that - I've never had Reserve.

Assassin 2024: Saturday, June 22. $100 for two bombers, tickets sold via lottery which goes live on May 7th. 52 Hertz and Vanilla Assassin on tap, among other things.

Apologies for the newbie question but does TG allow proxies? I live in Mass. If I entered the assassin lottery and won, could I have a proxy pick up for me? How difficult is it to win the lottery? Thx

They do not. If the forum is much of an indication, very few people drive there anymore that aren’t within maybe 5 hours. If they did allow proxies, I think values would probably decrease rather sharply.

Well I guess it depends on the release. A few years ago proxies were available for a release or 2, and recently they had that weird proxy for someone else in person rule as well. I think it was for 52 hertz

Correct, during COVID there was a 1-2 year period where proxies were allowed. But, that was the only time for an online sale.

Never could figuring out or talked to anyone that had any idea what that bizarre “in person proxy” thing was for Black Friday last year.

They literally had a sale last year allowing proxies (CPV Assassin).

    Oops.

They also had like 4 others where they didn’t. I did make that mistake, but the general rule follows. Would be nice if they ever switched to doing it for all the major releases.

Does anyone know the flexibility of TG? I emailed last night, so waiting on a response. I had booked 1:00 pm pick up time for Assassin.

I found out that my friend / mentor’s wife is throwing him a retirement party at 1:00. Something small last minute for us close to him. I am taking over his position at work that he’s held for 31 years.

Do they accommodate things like this in the past? It’s not the end of the world if I can’t make it, but Assassin and KBBS are lotteries I’ve never hit until Assassin this time. Just crossing my fingers for a positive response from them.
