I was gonna say, outside of the beer tent not being near food #5-8, I don't see any beer difference this year. I specifically remember that one because we were buying High Speed Steels from there while waiting in the Donerman line. Looks like they've been moved over to the metal show. Hopefully they have a bigger counter to work with than the truck last year.

Most importantly, I just want the Harlem chopped cheese back.

 

Again, Thanks, Guys. eTix actually got back to me with a USPS Tracking Number. So, I put my tracking number in and it says my package was shipped on 4-22, then made it to Memphis on 4-24. Finally it says "In Transit to Next Facility" which was posted on 4-28. So it's been lost for the past 10 days. We'll see if it shakes loose before the fest.

 

Haven't been to one of these in a while and have a few other questions:
1) what's the Vintage Floyd's and Vintage Bottles? Those are new since I've been here haha... It's been a while. Back when I went, they were all mixed.
2) Is FFF Beer only FFF beer and Guest Beer only guest beer or do they cross over?

I have been outside of the beer nerd scene for so long I have no idea what a nice bottle for sharing is anymore. Just gonna bring some cherished back in the day stuff… fresh Pliny and treehouse. lol. I may not know what to ask for… but I have friends that travel a lot. I may grab an aged local that I know to be amazing out of the cellar.

 

Just for peace of mind if it comes to it, the first year they switched to the festival brackets that don’t release, my kid pulled my band into a tiny little knot. I emailed, they fixed, and the important part for you, right at 9am I had to hit ticket resolution to resolve it, and I spent all of 3 minutes longer in line than the rest of my party. It’s rather painless all things considered.

 

Now that's just rubbing soy sauce in the wound.

ETA: In lieu of a physical ticket, will they give folks at Will Call a scratch-off? Two for one spins on the Wheel of Death? Express line ticket to DönerMen?

 

Rumor has it that FFF will have to make changes to the new Dark Lord label next year. Apparently they can have the same artwork, but they will need to remove the horse rider on it after the barbarian’s union complained they were co-opting trademarked barbarian uniforms.

Haven’t been to DLD since pre-Covid. I know they used to provide a timed variant tap list (Variant/Time/Tap Location). Did they provide that last year? I also heard there was like zero lines last year for variant taps, is that true? It’s hard to believe because the lines used to be pretty long for the more popular variants (at least until later in the day when the festival cleared out some) from my memory.

 

All true. The longest I waited in any line for a variant was maybe 30 seconds, and they were available (multiple variants) at every 3Floyds station. I ended up having 10 variant pours as a result, and proceeded to have such a week-long hangover that I deliberated going to a doctor for possible development of vertigo.

 

Ouch. That’s like the double whammy. That and checking your credit card bill the day after or so and see like $150 in draft pours on it. lol. Thanks for info. Cheers.

 

I'm taking Monday off again this year to recover from both of these issues.
