    Yep, seen the ads, I have more research to do. Northern Tool has the Generac 24KW with auto switch on sale for $5,647. I also need two 120 gal propane tanks for about $500 each, total is a lot less than $16K.

    Could you get 1- 250 gallon tank ? Gas lines to the tank are probably labor intensive and run 10 to 20 feet? Should still be nowhere near 10K.

    Wicked Weed Brewing Pernihaze hazy IPA. Bot bad but low on taste, about half what hazy little thing.

    ...like the emergency electrical backup situation, I'm a more moderate with my propane situation, but do have three 20# and one 30# tank (and a butt load of 1# tanks) that will take care of a simple indoor heater as well as a full size outdoor grill plus an old camp stove / grill (forget the brand name)...throw in the wood-burning fireplace, well, I think we're good for a few days of extended power outages year round...if a power outage last longer than that, then I don't think any high-falutin' backup power supply (short of some minor solar powered backups) will do much good...

    ...anyway, it's the old Boy Scout in me, wanting to be prepared...

    So...
    After my xrays and finding out I have a bulging disc(no hip problems) I was prescribed a Steroid and a muscle relaxer. Started this am with the Steroid and I'm going to avoid the muscle relaxer. I decided I'm not going to take this sitting down. Best thing is to keep moving so I did a 75 minute moderate walk on the treadmill. I feel way better after that so off we go again into the program. Gotta lose weight as well - hit the 200# mark. Fight the good fight old people. Age is but a number. [​IMG]

    It's about what you'd expect from a big brand attempt at something hazy. It's not terrible, so that's a win. The Sabro is also not center stage. That's another win.

    I had the pox when I was about 12 and got it bad. Still have the scars on my lower back. Hope I never get those Shingles

    ...the human body can be amazing with what it can do to heal / recover...my personal saying is 'movement is life'...that needs to be taken with a grain of moderation, but you seem to have the correct attitude with resolving your issue...best of luck with getting back into your normal activities...
