And there’s the 10th Anniversary Very Green. Interesting concept.

I’m a young tech savvy millennial, and even I dislike buying draft “tickets” on my phone.
Is paying at the bar an option at Charlotte too?

Yep. You can buy drinks at the bar now, they'll just tick your wristband with every drink you buy.

So, to add a little more intrigue, I have also seen recently:

    - Baby shower
    - After baseball outing
    - Prom photos

Lets add these to the list…

I didn’t win bingo as I missed prom photos(what the actual fuck is wrong with those parents) but have seen baby shower and baseball kids running in uniform in the parking lot and golf grounds

I once watched a woman inflating balloons and tossing them in the air for a few toddlers to bat around. And to my amazement, a few people stood there captivated, watching it happen like they were witnessing a miracle. And employees walked right by, pretending not to see it. This was at Treehouse Sandwich in the downstairs space. As if that area isn’t small enough.

What's also strange is Nate confirmed on X that the 10th anni hop blend is not the standard hop blend of VG. So doesn't that make this a different beer entirely with the VG name slapped onto it??? Not sure what you can do to make a special version of a beer, so maybe just post a cool story about the first time it was brewed or something nostalgic.

They added a giant ball pit right next to the canopy.
I'd love the OG recipes. See how they compare. But I guess I understand wanting to make something "new".

I did enjoy 10th Anniversary Haze.

10th Anniversary Haze can also had a description that clearly indicated the recipe was different than Haze. It specifically mentioned Amarillo from Idaho going well with the original hop blend of Haze plus a small amount of Peacharine (which obviously did not exist at the time of original Haze).

I don't really think any of this is strange, Nate would probably tell you that none of the recipes were ever static, they've been changing the entire time.

Maybe in the quantities of ingredients, but most likely not the hop bill. They have like 800 beers and counting, so no need to really tweak a recepie and keep the same name when you can just make a new offering to sell. The only time I remember this being addressed was the first and second release of 'Treat'. Anyone who bought batch 1 knows how vastly different it was from what it has been going forward. I think Nate said something about it being a new recepie when the second release came.

Heard the news about Greg and it’s sad to hear he was part of the ultimate choice.

I gotta give Nate credit for putting something to camera for him. Heard some other YouTubers also pay respects. I always enjoyed his reviews and fridge intro.

Curious how others tend to shop at TH. I am all for experimenting both in what and how they brew, as well as in my purchases from time to time. But the Anniversary beers and others they produce with a story, but no actual recipe information over time to me have become less desirable. It’s hard to shell out $23.00 for a beer that could be full of sabro and sorachi ace. By no means am I saying I’m right. Just curious what others think. Happy New Year was the last one that felt regrettable after I got it.

I only buy Tree House once or twice a year when I'm in the area, but I sort of think that these quasi-gimmick anniversary or one-day seasonal beers (like Happy New Year) are just trade-offs for still being able to buy Green and Very Green for 17-20 bucks a 4-pack. That the prices of those beers haven't really changed since 2015 is something to be admired. Hell, they even got cheaper when the beer went from growler to can.

Yeah, they're not much better, and I know they're not hurting for cash, but if $23 cosmetically-changed beers keep the others at the same price as they've always been, that's fine by me. I'll probably even get tempted by a few (like I was Happy New Year.. and yeah, not worth it) just to do my part.
