This might have been mentioned, but asking for a tip on beer to go. Including, most recently, a place where I pulled the beer from the refrigerator myself.

Yep. I agree. Brewery X has some great beers and a nice venue but if I ever go back there, I am bringing my personal glassware instead of those stupid plastic cups they serve on the patio.

I don’t like the “plastic cups on the patio”
thing at all either, but I can kind of understand it. But I’m seeing breweries sell beer in plastic indoors now too. They do it at Treehouse where they seem to be making boat loads of money. It’s ridiculous.

I was thinking the same thing. Person working the register probably was told 100 times that if the data in the machine doesn't match the cash in the drawer it's their ass. I'd cut them some slack on this one @barrybeerdog.

Even at some of our more rustic breweries that have outdoor beer gardens / BBQ areas, we still get glassware.

I’ve never seen plastic and would definitely be angry about it!

My most important pet peeve are horrible stools and chairs made of hard metal, plastic or wood that is worse than sitting in a church pew! I like to be comfortable when I drink a beer!

Then you are more perceptive than I am. It is not like it is poolside where broken glass is a big deal. If they are worried about glassware theft, charge a refundable glass deposit if the customer wants a glass.

Having back issues, I really need seating with backs. The long, communal benches are torture for me.

I can top that, getting handed a plastic cup & then seeing others with glass. WTH is that about? Also, never looks like club member glassware.

I hear ya, simple fix, change cup near the register...I'll provide the first 98 cents:grin:

    That’s bizarre. Haven’t seen that. Hope I don’t.

Old ass cans at the go to spot breweries. COME ON MAN…..I can see old cans sitting on the shelves at the local stores, but at the breweries? I mean WTF man! When I say old I mean 2+ months old ipa’s. And sometimes a month and half old is too OLD. I’m paying $20/22/24/26 for old ass cans? F that. Not all, but a couple I’ve been to and brought home to find out the old dates. Not cool. I hate to ask the beertender what’s the canning date of…..? But I do now. I shouldnt have too. Right? Most of my local breweries I know have fresh cans, so once in a while I want something from ESBC and the last time I did, they f’d me. F em back. Yes, this is my RANT! Cheers…..Zzzzzzz

I used to hate this too. But not anymore. I’m old like @JBogan, 64 so I go my local breweries at noon for lunch and a pour when most of the families with kids are not. Nice & quiet.

Hip hop music with f’d up language being played LOUD! Example, Monks. So I don’t go to Monks unless I’m picking up a 4pk to go. Which is rare these days. There’s better beers out there anyways.

    One more….promise.
Taplist is never updated. Why? My old Beachwood BBQ in Seal Beach, R.I.P. tap list was on camera for everyone to see on their website. Always updated as they changed the board out for new beer being tapped. So simple and easy a kid could do it. Kidding. Gabe had a great thing going with his camera eye on the tap board. I hate seeing something good on tap and it’s not anymore when I get there in 20-30 minutes. Oh well. That’s all folks….!

Me too, and it becomes worse if the bench seat is made of a couple 2x6s with a gap joint between them. Eventually that gap joint creases my bottom end to the point of pain, even if I move around on the bench to get away from it.

If I remember/come prepared, I will bring a stainless steel pint glass or insulated tumbler so I don't have to drink out of plastic on the patio.

One of my pet peeves is when they charge “too much” for tasters. I understand charging more per ounce than full pours, but when they charge $8 for 13oz and $5 for 4oz, for example, that’s more than double.

Another would be not filling the glass. Don’t sell me 13oz and give me 11oz!

    First world problems, I know.

Having nothing but adjunct heavy beers, fruited sours, and over hopped hazy IPAs without one well brewed lager or even a well balanced IPA. I can think of one brewery locally that has over 15 beers on tap and this is exactly the case. Glad the pizza is good though for when friends want to get together there.
