Untappd charges a fee to have a brewery list their beers on tap.
With all the closures happening I'm sure spending more isn't a priority if they didn't see a spike in traffic when they did

Okay, so maybe they no longer want to pay a fee to Untappd; however, there are plenty of breweries with far less scale thn GI that continue to do so. Instead, would it be that difficult to post an updated taplist to their website (see: Revolution) and/or other forms of social media? I have no interest in a $40 Uber ride round-trip without knowing what's available.

    Or....
they can embrace the existing resources available for outreach that require little or no human interaction. Weekly tap list update on any of the myriad of platforms and, done. Hello, customer.

Here is the recent (current?) menu I believe. Saw a photo on UT with the QR code in the background. Scanned the same QR code. A DIY online menu.

I agree because less human interaction is what the world needs.
    Get it together GI

Don't get me wrong. I am not a social media fan. However, for a business to make the public aware of their available products, especially a business whose available products change relatively frequently, social media and even an old school website update, is an easy source of information that requires minimal time compared to answering the telephone. I realize a recorded outgoing message is even older tech. But neither, none, zilch, nunc....?
Life is good for Goose. "Come by, or don't. Whatever."
The shrinking craft beer scene salutes Goose.:sunglasses:

Putting your beer menu on Untappd 100% drives traffic. When I worked near Goose I had alerts set for when beers got added and if something I wanted to try popped up, I swung by after work.

If you're GI, what's the better use of your bartender's resources? Pouring beers and serving taproom customers or answering the phone and reciting a long tap list and answering questions about the list?

Thanks for sharing! After seeing this list, maybe now I know why they pulled it from Untappd. :grimacing:

1-If they have this in the cloud via QR why can’t they just post it on their website?
2-was surprised to see them selling Eris Cider (Though they left out the brewing part of Eris Brewing and Cider). Didn’t realize InBev sold their portion Virtue Cider back to the Halls. Weird that they would also drop that for Eris Cider.
3-So Bud Light got killed for the trans controversy, but InBev was cool with GI having a beer on tap called “Sounds Queer I’m In” which seems way more provocative..

I have a bunch of alerts set on Untappd for a bunch of bars and breweries I live and work around. If they post a fun new brew that I haven't tried I'll definitely try and swing by to grab a pint and if they have food, grab a bite.

If the cost to the bar/brewery is minimal then why not do it?

Is Fulton st the better place to go for BA stuff and BCBS variants/vintages (priority to draft/bottle pours)? The list someone posted from a couple months ago above is helpful. Is the salt shed online beer menu accurate or do they have a bottle list as well?

I feel like Fulton might still be your better bet for older vintage bottles and pours of BCS.

Anyone heard if there's going to be a block party this year? It's usually a great event but feels strange to not have heard anything about it by this point...

Haven’t been to Salt Shed, but is that a potential venue for it if they utilize the concert space?

You may have already seen but GI mentioned on one of their recent social media posts that they are taking a pause this year with the Block Party when asked about it.

I’m looking forward to seeing it. Towards the end when they discontinued it, I never saw any fresh bottles. At least we’ll know these are!
