I was going to say that, or at least something along those lines. Funny how easy that error is to make though.

This is damn good. Somewhat sweet, though great lactose here. Digging it tonight and grateful I got this sent to me.

    From a 12oz can. Dated 02/19/2024.
This beer pours pitch black. No chance of any light shining through. The head is 1 finger and tan with small bubbles. For the ABV, the retention is great. There's no lacing on the glass as the head dissipates to a ring around the rim of the glass.
The nose has a good hit of milk chocolate. There's just a full on hit of lactose here. I also get a malted milk aroma here.
Taste - there is a good lactose hit to this beer. I also get malted milk here. The chocolate flavor isn't as sweet as the aroma let on. It is a dark chocolate flavor and slightly roasted.
The body is very smooth and creamy. There is no alcohol burn in this 15% beer. The thickness tells you to take it slow.
This is a damn tasty beer.

I think this is it for this NBW. Cheers all

Brewers notes: Exploring reams of deep, dank space with the Rule of 3 in its DNA, Sparklefluff launches with a payload of smashed summer peaches for cushions of fierce malty fluff behind a force field of hops. Three times dryhopped, triple the hop flavour and thrice the aroma, the 10.2% alcohol by volume of this unfiltered adventure glimmers with the epic glory of Sparklefluff, Galaxy Star Fighter Defender of the Universe. Note: Please be prepared for lots of special treats in the bottom of the can. Give it a good shake 15 minutes before consuming

Translucent orange capped by a three finger off white foam cap , floaties of peach puree suspended in the bottom of the liquid , they circulate bottom to form top with the carbonation streams

    Aroma is peachy

    Taste is peachy

    Acidic , boozy mouthfeel

    Interesting beer

Sampling a CT brewery for the first time tonight. This is Berlinetta Brewing Company out of Bridgeport, CT. THe VLK is a czech dark lager, perhaps @FBarber would like to try this one sometime:thinking_face:
Beer is 4.7% and has been on my radar, but I hadnt bought it before now.

    onto my review:
Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can poured into my .5L dimple mug. Picked up the can at the local shop. No obvious date stamping or print on label or can.
The beer pours a rich mahogany color with a fizzy khaki colored head of about 1.5 cm. This foam fades to a sturdy edge layer soon after the pour and is basically nothing about halfway through the mug.
Aroma on this beer is some toasted grain, a bit of dark chocolate, some brown sugar that may be slightly burnt. Not a lot of hop note, maybe an herbal tea presence buried in there. No booziness.
First sip reveals a lighter body and smooth mouthfeel with very fine and tingly carbonation. there is a little bit of coating on my palate after each sip, but this beer drinks easy.
Flavor is toasted grains, dark chocolate, a little burnt sugar and some caramel. The finish allows a slightly bite of herbal tea that dries out my palate and lingers after the swallow. tasty brew that has decent complexity and seems to fit the style profile. id buy this one again.
    4.22 in the BA DB
