Didn't matter whether they did the pub club sale ahead of time or not. They had "x" number of bottles reserved for such members, and the rest for the release today. As it stood, only 30-40 brave souls braved the cold morning to wait in line. After everyone moved through the line inside...everyone was permitted to go back and get more until it was basically gone. The rest, as stated, was held for Pub Club members to come in and purchase.

I had a blast at this. Met up with a bunch of guys in here I'm familiar with, and met a few more. Got to share a Cascade Bourbonic Plague in line... And as said before...this was extremely well run. One of the most pleasurable releases I've ever attended. Would definitely make the hike up there again in the future.

I've got no complaints, grabbed my bottles, had a few drafts, and then headed to Selin's Grove. It was cold as fuck though. I should have had some snowboarding gear on...my nips were erect.

Release was great. Got there way eariler than I needed to. Again not sure why there was a line or why people waited in it. Waited until about 10 til 11, got in the line and waited for the doors to open and everyone shuffle through. Would of loved to stay hang out and meet new friends and drink, but I needed to get back to pittsburgh for a 5pm meeting. Of course as I was getting back into town it was reschexuled for next. Just my luck. No worries though got my bottles to drown my sorrows in since I didnt get to hang with all the BA's

This is exactly what I did. First time for me at Selin's Grove and I could only stop in for a draft and a growler, but the dubbed I had on draft was pretty tasty, and I'm excited to drink the Framboise growler with a few friends tomorrow before the NFL games start.

The fuel for the hype train only ignites when you post it in an area where people that dont have it can see it. Also, if im not mistaken it took longer. On our way out (and we were there for at least 2 hours) a dude went to buy more and was only given one with the statement being made that only that one was left.

Agreed. Lots of fun and nice to meet everyone. Enjoyed the Bourbonic that Joe cracked immensely. Really enjoyed a lot of bullfrogs tap's and food.

Way to go! Supposed to be a three bottle limit. Due to you being a typical hog that many in our society are, there were folks who would have liked to tried this and didn't get the chance. And don't give me that Bullfrog should have paid more attention or whatever. How about some personal responsibility and a little less me me me. And I'm sure the extra 9 bottles were for friends. What a joke.

I felt like you at one point. But you know what. I change that way of thinking real quick. Why because it doesn't pay.

Great release yesterday, very smoothly ran. Was able to get my bottles some food and try a few of their drafts before heading down to Selins.

In talking with the owner/manager at the release, he mentioned the 506 bottles was allocated as follows 350 to general public, then he gave each employee a bottle for Xmas, some held for pint club members, and then some they were saving for GABF. Either way great beer and a great time yesterday.

I'm interested in an in person trade for this, anywhere from Philly to Williamsport. My wife has family up around there, but no one could make it Friday.

Some stuff I have that comes to mind:
MoaS, BANE, Parabola, Abacus, RR sours from the last few years, Bolt Cutter

I realize people are asking for Cable car but I don't have anything close to that.

Which part "doesn't pay?"...taking issue with others' consumption or limiting your own consumption so that others may also participate?

Anyone else have Da Roar Grrrz? Was a barrel aged lambic served still, only on draft for yesterday according to the board. The manager said it was barrel aged for a year. I thought it was pretty fucking mind blowing...tasted exactly like a young, still Cantillon. It puts to rest my concern that their beer might suffer after Terry left...I haven't had much of their beer but that one was just astoundingly good.

Of course it's a great release when there are not that many people there. Just imagine if they had 50 people for Kate the Great when it was first come first served. I think this is actually pretty funny. People largely associate a release with being "great" when they get THEIR BOTTLES and then some extra bottles to boot. Gotta also love the thread of someone putting up 10 bottles for trade. That is pretty funny. Basically, here is a pretty substantial load of bottles in return for some heavy hitters. You then decide what to do with them basically. I am saying this TIC somewhat, but I do find at least a little humor in this one.

I associate a good release when those running it are organized and everything runs smoothly. Those people that have limited time can get in and out quickly. Everything is orderly. That is a good release.
