Figure this is as good a place as any to ask about old Rev beers. Has anyone had a can of VSOJ b2 recently? I was way out of the beer scene at the time, but it's one I'd like to hunt down at some point

A fantastic batch of VSOJ. Big toffee & wood notes when chilled, with delightful caramel, leather & red fruit once warmed up. Almost like two different beers from beginning to finish.

I got some odd cinnamon vibes from Coconut Deth that I didn't vibe with.

Cherry VSOJ is pretty one-note and, to me, forgettable.

Just 3 opinions from 1 idiot, of course.

I remember getting that from B.1 and liking it, so that’s good news for me!

Ok, stopped to pick in my order and a few proxy orders this afternoon. Walked out with 3 trays full of beer and felt bad I had him have to get all that, until he told me someone came in and picked up like 70+ 4-packs of VSOJ themselves ... @GuyFawkes seems like you've got a reputation up there!

As I was driving I only tried the draft-only variants. Supermassive Coconut Deth was delicious; It Must Be A Camel was very good, but a slight notch below SCD for me.

I asked the staff. They said the glass shall be ours at the Deth release this fall

Surely It Must Be A Camel must be an anagram for something? Divulge thy inside joke, Rev.

NVM, don't mind me. It's a Frank Zappa song apparently. I was never into Zappa as you can see. :anguished:

It’s like Dark Side of the Rainbow- if you synchronize playing the song with the drinking of the can…

Man they nailed Coconut Deth this year. My favorite of the bunch this release.

Marty was Village Tap for their preview party and because I liked Coconut Deth so much, I had to tell him. He talked in great depth about the use of French oak to enhance the coconut and many other details that I was unfortunately a bit too buzzed to remember in detail. As someone who really likes toasted coconut, I thought this was the best coconut stout I've ever had I said that about the last release.

Interesting - French oak can impart notes of cinnamon, so I bet that is where the cinnamon in Coconut Deth is coming from.

Turns out Rev is actually in the Illuminati and has been part of the shadow group running the government behind the scene for years. That release was just another coded message to the White House this time instructing them to replace their current candidate with another-“A Camel” aka, Camel A or rather Kamel A….who happens to be famous for her falling out of a coconut tree meme so what else did Rev put on draft beside it? Another nod- Suppermassive Coconut Deth…. They don’t call it Revolution for nothin’.
