High Street place has an excellent wine bar, solid cocktail bar, great coffee, good food and a very lame beer bar.

I was told Pitch Lined Pils tastes glorious. And that another style is slated for the next Pitch Lined treatment...

...and that style is....Pastry Stout. That's right Pitch Lined Pastry Stout.

    In serious news, it's Helles.

Had the Pitch Line Pils and All Mod Cons (ESB) last night.
    Both were fantastic!

I highly recommend doing a side by side with the PLP and The Standard.

Thank you and we've heard your feedback.

The Notch Biergarten Worcester is not owned or operated by Notch Brewing Salem / Brighton. We are independent operators that love Notch and Craft Lagers that are trying the best we can to bring the authentic beer experience to downtown Worcester. We are operating under a licensing Partnership with Notch Brewing. We are striving to find a way to pour into glassware with our given infrastructure restrictions.

Our Plastic Beer cup is 20 oz. so that translates into a competitive price per "Pint"

Thank you again for the feedback.

How many of these "licensed" Biergartens exist?

Seems very confusing for consumers, even ones that are informed beer geeks here on the Beer Advocate forums. Two weeks ago, while my wife and I were driving through New Hampshire, I saw a "Notch Brewing" sign on a shopping center facade. Since I was planning a visit to the Brighton location on that same trip, I knew from looking at Notch's website that they only had the two locations, and I assumed that maybe previously they had a third location at some point in the past, and it was an old sign.

But I guess not, since I just did some internet digging and apparently there are two Notch Biergartens operated by a third party in New Hampshire. The one I saw the sign for was in Center Harbor, NH.

But maybe it's good we didn't stop, since I really enjoyed my visit to Brighton, and maybe the NH place would not have given the same experience.

Drinking a Zwickle and noticed the can said Burlington, VT. No clue what that’s about and Google was no help. Is notch contract brewing up there?

Yeah, they've been contract brewing a few beers at Zero Gravity.

Zero Gravity does some contract brewing for Notch, Oxbow, and Prohibition Pig. I think they do a good job for the most part, but there's a few beers I think took a turn for the worse under this arrangement (especially Oxbow's Luppulo).

Our four year round Notch beers are brewed at Zero Gravity, and some seasonals. Zwickel is brewed in Salem MA, not sure what label you may be looking at?

Drinking the most recent batch to hit distro. It says Salem and Burlington, doesn’t specify where the beer was actually brewed.

Zwickel is only brewed in Salem currently, label reads "Brewed in Salem". We do not have a label for VT. Not being combative, just confused.

The blue label is from a can of Zwickel that I picked up at the brewery a couple weeks ago. The white label is a can of Salem Lager.

Yes, so Zwickel reads Salem only.

No worries. I’m out of town now so I’ll look at it again when I get back home in a few days. The point of my original post was that I didn’t know about the contract brewing in VT and now I’ve got my answer.

I’m back home and mystery solved. It wasn’t Zwickel I was drinking, it was Kolsch. Either way I got my answer. Thanks everyone

I'd been out of town until just the other day but grabbed some FNA Saison the beer they brewed with Jeff Biegert of New Belgium yesterday. Classic saison yeast, along with some herbs - Gentian Root, Cubeb Berries and Mugwort.
