Green after 3-4 weeks has been excellent. So fully agree

I'm hearing that's becoming the way to do it. Roll the can!

    That's good to hear!

If you got a strong diacetyl flavor in one of their hazies then I'm sure Nate would be interested to know.

Found it, must’ve been just before Monson as it was growlers. Def a Brimfield trip [IMG]

Though, that could be right after the Monson #1 move and I may have no documented photos of Brimfield.

I knew I had some old photos save that could add some visual context to @Jbrews comments. Right on the money with the descriptions, just needed to get around to digging them up. Now lighting and equipment quality might factor in but these beers have definitely evolved from the early days.

My first visit was the little red barn. All growlers. Didn't across the street in the metal shed still run for a good while doing growlers only?

Just had a Haze that was canned yesterday. I challenge you to find a more enjoyable/drinkable beer at that abv. Juice Project: Citra + Mosaic is currently in my glass and it’s definitely going to get super high scores, but is slightly too sweet for me.That being said, it’s still very good. I had King Julius punch on tap yesterday and it was seriously delicious. I wonder how it is in cans. They (fruited beers) seem to lose a little something when not on draft imo.

Coffee question: How strict should you be with the drink by dates on the cans? I’m not a coffee expert so I have no idea. The vanilla latte has a date of 8/30 which seems like a short shelf life. It has to be due to the milk content, right?

Completely agree. I remember from my last year Julius and green hitting that sweet spot at 3-4 weeks. Its really something special when you catch it at that peak moment. It’s like cutting open an avocado that’s perfectly ripe.

    Both 2015
It was a little darker and a little less hazy but it hasn’t changed all that much. I think it still smells and tasted pretty much the same too from what I can remember. Incredible feat at such a massive volume increase.

Sucks what Galaxy has become. Green is still pretty good, but once they start going past that in terms of hop volume, it’s not an elite hop anymore (right now). Drinking Very Green right now and it has the same off putting finish that I’ve been getting from heavy Galaxy beers for the last couple of years. I really hope it turns around because Galaxy is used in so many legendary beers that were made so when the hop was at its peak

They’ve updated the beer for sure, but I like that they haven’t completely stripped it down to a pale yellow haze. It still has that signature Julius color. I think those malts are essential to the classic Julius flavor profile and if they stripped it down it would just be more generic

Yeah, I would be suprised if Julius or Julius derived variant was pale yellow like some others. I expect it to have a darker hue but it has definitely gotten ‘hazier’ and I think that is actually just an evolution in the brewing technique as opposed to changing any key ingredients.

Correct...definitely drink it before the printed date. Even though it's oat milk, the one I opened after the best buy date smelled off and I didn't drink it.

Yup, you have to drink them quick. We opened one and I smelled the sour and Em didn’t and drank it and got sick in the sink as soon as she swallowed. Felt bad, but it was kind of epic. Wrote to treehouse and they were cool about it and making sure it wasn’t infected. But they basically said just get to them as fast as you can and just don’t let them expire. It was absolutely revolting @VodkaPong87
