I was at the Total Wine in Fairfax City this morning - and the lady said they weren't getting them until Thursday (if at all)?

Was at Total Wine in McLean an hour ago and they are capping it at 1 bottle. Will stop by again in the morning. They also had Sculpin bombers behind the counter and more Hopslam and Double Trouble.

Super lame. I was waiting all morning and had my friend text me RIGHT when they posted it. I had my girlfriend call within 3 mins after that and it was sold out. Wow what a mess.

Completely agree. Doing phone sales for something like this was the worst possible way to do this. Especially considering they only seemed to have one phone line. I started trying to get through within 5 seconds of the post, and tried for about 12 minutes, and when I got through, they were sold out.

The way they handled this, combined with their dickish, know it all attitude that I have experienced both times I have entered the store, and every time I have called with a question has made me decide to take my money elsewhere.

Available at Whole Foods Reston as of 9:30am today, one 4-pack per customer @ $20.99 + tax (so $22.xx).

Wish I would have seen this earlier. Just called and they're out of stock. Got my hands on two bottles, but would liked to have got a four pack.

Got some today at Total Wine Fairfax (1 per, 5.99), Whole Foods Vienna (2 per, 5.49), and Norms (2 per, 5.99). No idea if any is left but I guess it could be worth a phone call.

Just got an email from Norms and it is sold out. Called Whole Foods Vienna around 1pm already sold out. Was at total wine fairfax around 2pm and they had 5 or 6 bottles left.

I don't know why this seems to strike so many people as an inordinately high price. $20 for a four pack is essentially $9 for a bomber. How many barrel aged impy stouts do you know of out there that sell for only $9? Any? Add to that the extra benefit of being able to open just a single 12 ounce bottle at time (which is a fairly manageable portion size), along with just how good this beer is, and you can understand why it's so popular.

Considering people are paying upwards of $100 for a 4 pack on ebay, I would say $20 is a pretty good deal. If you do buy some and don't think it's worth the price, I'll gladly take them off your hands for whatever you paid plus $$.

K1 Beer and Wine got some in this morning. They only got 1 case I think with a 2 bottle limit.

On another note Rustico Ballston has bottles of CBS going for $39 which for bar prices isn't all that bad. Semi random but someone might think it's a good find.

$39 for CBS is a shockingly good price for Rustico. If memory serves, last time I was there they were selling bottles of Boris for $45. Pretty sure the normal retail price for Boris is considerably less than the price for CBS.

S&S Liquors on the DC/Takoma border had KBS as of last night - but $30 per 4 pack. No limits, however.
