Just want to recognize some real good work by Phase Three recently. I live nearby, so I pick things up there pretty often. Most of the time they're hit or miss for me, but recently they're on a bit of a heater between Tonal Range, House Plants, Double Pixel and Vivid Light. All are excellent.

Looks like they finally figured out how to blend Vic Secret into these beers (or got some better Vic)! For a while it was in a few beers that had a bunch of hop burn and just tasted off, but they kept releasing new beers with it.
I haven't tried Vivid Light, but they're hyping it up to be a fan-favorite so I gotta give it a shot. Untappd fans don't seem to like it as much tho lol (3.83 stars).

Man I was super pumped for Cuppa Eunoia. But that has to be the worst beer/biggest letdown of the year for me. Total sugar bomb. I'm not sure how they turned it into that.

I thought that about a bunch of their beers released in 2024. To the point that I stopped getting their bottles. I'll stop by the taproom and try small pours still, but the reality is more sugary the beer is, the higher it ranks on untappd for the most part.

This is America. Sugar is the highest king. People don’t even know what the world dry means.

My palate must be worse than I thought because I did not find Cuppa Eunoia to be that sweet. I thought it was a fantastic beer and got better as it warmed up.

That's about 94% of any hyped up BBA Stout for my palate.

I like a fair amount of sweet stouts, but the ones they've put out this year have been too much for me.

This actually leads into a bigger question I had, how are people feeling about P3's trend in general right now? This is my first year as an ambassador and I've been disappointed in almost everything I've gotten so far. Has anyone else been feeling this way?

I've liked what they've released in 2024, Cuppa Eunoia being the first true miss. It's way too sweet for sure. But they have done a lot more non-adjunct stuff than I remember and it's generally been good.

I got to try a can of Vivid Light over the weekend and I see what people like about it. 6.25% abv and drinks very well with some tavern cut pizza. Light mall bill, poppy and zesty hops, although with an odd parmesan vibe from Centennial, but I liked it nonetheless.

I may be on an island here, but I thought Eunoia Batch 1 2024 was terrible. At least out of the bottle. That one has probably hurt my impression the most

I'm with you on that beer. It was awful to me. All of their beers the past two years have leaned extremely sweet with no barrel. This is my last year of the membership.

Do people feel the same way about the recent arabesque and minutiae reserve. Too sweet and lacking barrel, or do those not suffer as much because there aren’t adjuncts to drown out the base beer and spirit

I only had '22 and '23 Arabesuqe at the last FOBAB, but that was my impression when comparing it to Roaming Elephant and Brothership's Anunnaki. Thicker than the other two and lacking flavor. It'd be different if the flavor was better, but it's just needlessly thick.

Same with BA Imperial Perception. But ok, I'll go back to yelling at clouds for now.
