Right along here ba. Juice brawl, ddh ipa w/ mosaic, motueka, nelson sauvin, & mosaic lupulin. Nice and dank with subtle fruit notes of citrus and berries,

Gnosis/Mikerphone The Vinyl Word DIPA (Paradigm, Multihead, Galaxy, Mosaic Incognito). An intensely hoppy hazy DIPA. A little green, but still great. Yellow grapefruit, passionfruit, lime zest, floral, guava, citrus peel, hop spice, blueberry, pine. The brewer explained this one was rushed a bit for Mikerphone’s fest, but it should be good to go with another week. As it is, it’s still a tasty one.

Happy Birthday!

 

1) Toppling Goliath Haze Cadet (7.8% canned 4/15/24): A NEIPA from Iowa (collab with Boulevard in KC) with Citra and Strata for flavors of orange, blood orange, tropical OJ, papaya, and mango.
versus
2) Toppling Goliath DDH King Sue (7.8% canned 6/17/24): A NEIPA from Iowa with flavors of orange citrus zest, flower, pineapple and mango skin. Bright and clean. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner: DDH King Sue
Toppling Goliath IPA Battle. First is Haze Cadet. A collab with Boulevard in KC. Nice showcase of Citra and Strata. Excellent collab, but admittedly starting to fade at bit at four months.
Next is DDH King Sue. Tons of orange citrus, orange flower, and zest. An amped up version of the King Sue. My BeerAdvocate rating: Haze Cadet 4.19. DDH King Sue: 4.35. A Saturday Beer Battle doesn't get much better than this.

Gnosis/Knack Gnack Lager (English Brown lager). An interesting take on an English Brown that is pretty well executed. Slightly nutty, little roast, toast, earthy hop, and bone dry. A crisper, drier, and more refreshing take on an English Brown. Nicely done.
