I'll be sure to drink them fast. It won't be an issue as I had a hard time keeping the first one from lasting more than 10 minutes in my glass the other morning.

I think I might open my first can of Emperor Creamsicle tonight. No idea what to expect. I like the creamsicle offerings, but did not like Emperor Julius at all

Listening to lots of brew podcasts, nectaron has been all the rave. Heavily touted by brewers as THE next hop. I find it interesting that treehouse has quadrupled-down on peacharine. So many of their beers feature it. Pretty much some “new core” beers at this point. Wonder why they haven’t gone all in on nectaron like they did peacharine.

I tend to liken peacharine to citra and nectaron to mosaic. So I can see peacharine as a base hop to build from like citra is used these days, whereas nectaron is an overpowering punch to the face. Maybe that’s why.

I’m also curious how concert beer compared to fresh peach. Both have citra and peacharine but fresh peach also has Nelson.

    Trail Peacharine - Incredible
    Eureka Peacharine - Next level
    The solution - Excellent
Jubilee - what did I just taste?

what are you implying with Jubilee? That’s a good thing right? Just a new and unique flavor?

This is bad news for me. Nectaron and Peacharine are two of my least favorite hops. The beers with them just seem to be way sweeter than standard

Maybe the sweet fruity hop notes give off a perceived sweetness. Brewers could adjust for that achieving a lower finishing gravity. Most beers I’ve had with those hops have been other half, and they weren’t noticeably sweeter then their average stuff to me.

No, for whatever reason this is not hitting for me. Had one on a fresh pallete the day I got it and didn’t love it. Just had a Trillum Vicinity a bit ago and wanted to crack a Jubilee again and try it. After the Trillium beer this tastes awful to me. Cloying sweet, malty and just an off chemical flavor in there. It does not look appetizing at all. It tastes old or oxidized. Which it’s not. Maybe I’ll check in kindly with TH and see if they have an input. Just sucks to pour out a four pack. But it’s bad. Also just noticed the date is 06/24. But this shouldn’t usually be an issue with TH.

Maybe there was an oxidization issue with that batch. As much beer as they pump out I wouldn’t be surprised if one gets away. I searched jubilee, very green, and haze on Untapped and jubilee seemed to have the most variation in color with a higher number of darker color looking ones. Also maybe that beer is a little darker to begin with? Like somewhere between very green and king J? The other two seemed more consistent. Hard to tell from photos sometimes, but maybe there’s something there.

I’m curious about orange thing DIPA. Allora is another one of the new promising hops. I hope they make a little orange thing single ipa version in time for my visit in 2 weeks.

It was unremarkable for me but I think that could be the NZ hop rut I find myself in. The citrus notes of Alora were just not doing it for me. I like to give things a second shot so probably will come back to it.

While I know a lot of people love the fruited ipa offerings on draft at the taprooms, I wish they had a few more standard single IPAs. Like even just two at a time. Right now in Deerfield there are none. Not one. They do have some straight up pale ales on the menu now, which is probably what I’d go with if I was there at this very moment. For someone like me who visits treehouse one for twice a year max, I’d be happier drinking straight Julius and green on tap, but that’s just me. What do y’all think?

In my experience they usually have Julius and Green on tap. However, I frequent Charlton and Tewksbury most often these days and only get to Deerfield a couple of times a year. Sandwich seems to have the most limited selection out of all the locations other that Woodstock.

I think more often than not they’ll have a Julius, a Green, or Haze on tap. I just don’t think they’ll ever reach always on all the time. If they wanted that, they certainly could do that. So I think it’s not a goal to get to that IMO.

Yeah I mean having Julius, Green, and Haze almost always available in cans is impressive enough. And like you said, they could. I think if I was more of a frequent flyer I'd be looking for something different on site.

I’m sure this has been discussed before but just looking for a pulse check on glassware vs plastic cup service. Gonna be hitting up Deerfield on a Thursday anywhere between probably 2pm and 5pm. Depends on how long I stick around in Stowe after checkout and whether or not my wife can bear it to make a quick pit stop I’m hoping for at river roost on our way back.

I’ve seen some of my Untappd buddies posting some proper glasses at treehouse. I think most of those have been Charlton though. I’ve been to Deerfield in the past on weekdays (not even peak weekends) at various times and still always got plastic. If I recall one time was like an hour after opening and it wasn’t extremely busy but was still buzzing.

Anyways, still tasted great outta that plastic cup but it would be cool to get a proper glassware pour.
