They usually give you the made on date in the description. Shipping depends on the carrier but I doubt that any of it is refrigerated. With that said, I never had any issues with their IPAs
As stated above, it usually tells you the canning date in the description. How long it takes it to get to you, and how it's stored is a whole different story. Personally, when I was using Tavour, I would never buy an IPA unless it was the dead of winter and the chances of it sitting in a car/truck boiling in the summer heat were much lower.
Welp, as of today two of my last four crates have gone missing. Think I’m done with Tavour until they ditch GLS, pretty unacceptable lol
. That "last mile" carrier can have a huge impact on the experience. Tavour just changed several months ago in my area & my first shipment was horrible. Second on its way. Fingers crossed.
"Last Leg Carrier" aka a bottom of the barrel Independent Contractor Company that doesn't give a shit. My first and only order from them was thrown on my porch over my fence from a dude in a dirty ass van and that was it for me. Shady/lazy ass business practices
Anyone try Tavour+ ? You get: Advanced access beer before its released to everyone $0 shipping for orders with 12 or more beers $119/year Seemed a bit pricy to me, so I passed. Would be interested in hearing from anyone that opted in
I uninstalled my app recently to take a break so haven't heard about this. But I guess if you order 10 or more times a year (which wasn't me) this is definitely worth it. Interesting option.
For sure sounds like stuff for landlocked people or something. Good deal if you real want to tick beer that bad
It varies by region. They try not to post any beers if they are available or distributed in your area. I've been a customer for years now (started in 2018), getting at least one box per month. You only buy what you want. Even when I get two boxes, shipping is still $14.95. That's the best flat rate shipping I've seen for beer. (Halftime in New York is next best with $19.99 for 12 or $24.99 for 24. I've only had two breakages, and customer service was super fast in refunding my money.
it's for the people that have never tried it and THINK they want it. Landlocked people , people afraid to trade, people that don't trust MBC ,etc. Let them learn the hard way No beer is worth $125 even if ilthe fucker was Infinity Oaked
I have had one bottle, and make no mistake it was quite good. That said, it won’t be long until everybody who wants to try it, has tried it. The novelty will be gone. Those and future vintages will likely have a destiny as shelf turds.
...if freshness is a concern, then Tavour may not be the place to order them from... ...consider that the beer has to get into distro, your crate is open for 4-6 weeks to add beers, shipping and delivery probably adds another 10-14 days to things... ...that said, I have ordered plenty of IPAs - traditional / clear / west coast, et al. and hazies - and have had few issues other than some of the hazies probably arriving past their prime...
...I tried it once, but other than the advanced access, it ultimately wasn't worth the extra money to me, so I have never gone back to it...
