It's not a priority, but yes I'm keeping an eye on it for lulz. I'm officially at 57, but like many others I've had plenty more unofficially.

...as a few mentioned, I'm the same -- not actively pursuing things but sometimes I find it worth the gamble to try some el cheapo suds...I stand at 31 for my number of beers on the list...

I'm at 50...figured I'd have solid showing on that list..

My ticking days are behind me, but when I ticked, I ticked. I'm at 46 on that list, and in a surprising twist, I'm a Positive Rdev on most most of them. Also, what the hell is Genny doing on that list?

It's no fun either IMHO. I've officially reviewed 22 on the list, but I've probably sampled close to a hundred. A bad beer has to be unusually awful for me to go ahead and review it, or there has to be something else distinctive about it. Most macros just aren't that interesting, and it's tiring to say the same thing over and over and over again in my review ("beer is bland and watery, with a certain gassy quality that is unpleasant and leaves me feeling bloated"... etc., etc., etc.). So I tend not to review bad beers and of course I avoid drinking them.

By the way... I did review Bud Select 55 when it was first released. You can probably draw your own conclusion from that. :sunglasses:

I think we are of like minds. The only reason I would drink and review BS55 would be so I could claim to have tasted the worst beer on the planet (I’m sure it’s not, but according to BA it is). But in general, if the point of drinking beer is to enjoy oneself and have a positive sensory experience, I do not comprehend the desire to drink any more of these beers than absolutely necessary. I’ve come to trust the collective wisdom of BA over the years—and I can be almost certain that I will not somehow absolutely love a beer on the Worst Beers list. So why would I put myself through that? Life is too short.

Good question and something I never considered. 47 for me, with maybe a few more I can't recall and no plans to try the other 203 I have missed.

2 of the 4 I've rated really aren't awful. Eye of the beholder, I guess.

I've reviewed 5 of them, but I know I've had way more before my beer reviewing days.

You sound like a "Steak 'n Egger", local place from back in the day. At 73, I'd give my eye teeth for a visit to those old greasy spoons.

    31 here. I think that's enough.

    Cool thread idea. Cheers!

I'm not sure why Meister Brau isn't on this list, because it's the leader in the clubhouse if it is.

    Gawd, that s*** was awful.

With a score of 47, it would likely have been in the Top 10. However, it's showing as retired (fortunately), which I assume is why it's not on the list.

I am not trying to drink them but I have somehow had 67 beers off that list.

I apparently don’t turn down too many beers! Haha!

I've had about 28 of the 250 beers. I haven't drunk any (except maybe mis-named Keith IPA) since probably 1985. All have certainly changed in the interim, so I won't be reviewing them now. Most have probably changed for the worse. I thought some were at least decent in the 70s (Schaefer, Superior, Carta Blanca, Tecate, Labatt Blue, Schmidt of PA). One on the list might even be better now. Olde English 800 in the early 70s was a nasty 8%, but thankfully it has eased off to about 6%.

Didn’t realize this even existed. I’ve had a ton of beers on this list, that I haven’t rated/reviewed. Not in any hurry to do so.

I'm in the same boat. For laughs and giggles I counted the beers I've had on the list. 75. Granted, it's been years since I've had many of the beers on this list, but yeah... 75.
