I was there a few weeks ago and they were using glassware. I would think midday on a Thursday would be the same.

This might be a Deerfield only issue. Tewksbury is all glassware now everyday. As I believe is Charlton.

The curator of this massively important project took a week off. Last update was 8/13 :,( the divine creation is now incomplete

Anyone ever stopped at the brewery at 4 stars that’s 30 mins from Deerfield?

Beautiful little spot tucked in amongst their hop fields. Beers are good to very good in my opinion. Food truck only which I find to be not so great but can bring in your own food. No dogs allowed.

To keep it on TH, it's been said in here before but Eureka Peacharine is just amazing for 4.2%.

If I'm heading out to the Cape next month (post-Labor Day), what should I expect on a Saturday around 10-11 am at the Sandwich spot? How much of a detour is it if I'm heading another hour or so out on the Cape? Just me and one other person, no kids. Probably want food. Are there food trucks/pizza every time? Do I need to purchase ahead of time?

Ok this has never happened before. Just poured a C143 (I think? Has 0 information on the can about what it is). For some reason I decided to not pour the entire can into my glass. Put a little water in the can to rinse it out before putting in the recycling bin, poured out the water, and what looked like about 2 tablespoons of khaki colored play dough came out. Really bizarre. I think the description online said they were using a new yeast for this one, so that has to be what it was. I’ve drank the rest of them and did not notice this. I might have 1 left but I think this was the last one. Tastes good….

The only Mass. location I haven't been to, so can't speak to the crowd, but it looks like draft pours don't start until 11:00 and food doesn't start until noon.

They have Pizza and Lobster rolls on Saturdays, don’t think they would have a food truck. As far as the crowds, post-Labor day will probably help but if the weather is nice I would expect a crowd. It’s an amazing spot, hope you have nice weather to enjoy it!

I guess this is my largest concern. It's a catch-22. We want the weather to be nice so we can sit outside, but we also have another hour or so drive after the stop, so we kind of don't want it to be nice because we don't want traffic.

In other words, I want it to be perfect without any inconvenience. I want it to be beautiful all weekend, but not beautiful enough to warrant large amounts of traffic (at TH or Rt. 6).

I just had my can. Beer was very good. When I poured out the can and rinsed it with water, there was much more dust/sediment than usual. I find that TH pale ales almost always have a little bit. But yeah it was khaki colored. I wouldn’t describe mine as play dough. It went down the drain pretty easily.

I ended up having one final can and drank it yesterday. Poured it out exactly the same way and it had a ton of group at the bottom again, but not like what I referenced in the first post. That one was out of control.

Drinking Emperor Creamsicle now. Pretty good, even though I didn’t like the base version. King Julius Punch might be my favorite adjunct variation of the OG offerings

Stopping in Sandwich tomorrow. Planning to get:

    Julius
    Green
    Haze
    Jubilee
    King JJJulius
    Black Fern

I’d like to also pick up something lower ABV. Can anyone suggest one or two things? Thinking Kia Ora or Peacherine Trail

Recommending this one blind, but their lagers with C-hops have been phenomenal. If they have the Four Star wet-hopped lager on hand, I'd be sure not to miss it, if you enjoy that flavor profile.

You really can’t go wrong with the Eureka beers if you’re looking for low ABV. I also enjoyed Little Fern last time I was at the brewery. I know Peacherine has turned off a few people, but I love it.

Free to Roam is an excellent oak conditioned lager. Other than that I agree with the above posts regarding their c-hops and Eureka . Trailbreaker is also above average imo.

Just have to say I wish I got more than one 4-pack of Citra All Ways, a double IPA that drinks like a single.
