If the pumpkin puke orange color that infects that state doesn't keep them away, nothing will.

Not to mention no state income tax, relatively low cost of living, mild winters, and beautiful outdoors activities.

You could have made a funny I would have wholeheartedly agreed with, but instead got weirdly aggressive.

I can't imagine showing pride for either state. Let's throw Missouri in the mix as well. There's a reason I spend so much time outside of mine.

Enjoy those cowboy cosplay bachelorettes in the worst music scene on planet Earth!

IL chiming in here. My state is better than everyone's. In other news, new SP beer called Glass Houses is conditioned on a thoughtful amount of stones. Looking forward to that one.

2 inexpensive low acidity beers is what I've been begging for packages to be. Rye BBT 2020 and 2022 were two of my fave SP beers of all time. Same for DB Rye. For some reason 2023 I didn't love as much

Also for people who care about such things RBBT 2024 already has 36 reviews on Untappd from the Xul takeover and has a 4.54 rating which way way lower than any other BBT. I still got a few bottles but found that curious.

Interestingly, there are 2 untappd entries for BVc 2024. One only has 24 entries, and appears to be almost entirely from Xul participants. It is rated 4.54 also compared to the more “global” BVC 2024 rating of 4.64.

Seems to be a lot of 4.25 and 4.5s, similar to the check in for BVC and BBT2023 from the same event. The people that rated one a 5 rated the others a 5, and the ones that rated 1 and 4.25 rated the others a 4.25. Interesting.

You would think that with more barrels and more mature beer to choose from that these blended beer scores should keep going up! But, they are trending down.

As you spread out more from the core stans, values are going to go down, not up. That’s true for any brewery. No one likes the beer as much as them, and the further you go out, the less likely someone is to enjoy it as much as a Stan, because otherwise they probably would have already tried it.

Avg beer quality is also up across the board, bringing down the “average” beer from any brewery (because everything is relative, right?).

And, if you want to get cynical, as the bottles become less valuable to flippers due to increased membership volume, the flippers (who will obviously give it a 5 regardless) are a lower % of the votes, thereby lowering the score.

**indicates sample size based on the average Tavour user. Interpret with a high level of caution.

it might not be true of all bottles, but the one I am drinking from is a good as it was at Beers and Bites 5+ years ago.
