Nice, I would normally be going back to see family around this time of year, but my parents are coming down here this time. We got a beach house on Bolivar, just east of Galveston Bay (its the sometime party beach, but mostly more chill beach, to Galveston's tourist trap ha) in October. Go to Rigg's Beer Company in Urbana, if you can, some of my favorite German styles. They are up there with Live Oak IMO.

 

Technically our anniversary is 9/4 but we are celebrating the whole weekend. A Wednesday is no day to celebrate #25.

 

E gad! I’m starting and most likely ending the day with a killer Barleywine! This one is from @snaotheus ! I buried this one in the back of one of my beer fridges and unearthed it today!

Still drinking the 2nd ORB with dinner now.

Homemade ricotta with our own garden tomatoes, some crust seeded bread rubbed with garlic and tomato (pa amb tomaquet) and some black pepper blue cheese sausages... simple.... but awesome!

My biggest accomplishment today was snagging some tickets to the beginning of the Oasis reunion tour. Hopefully Noel and Liam don’t break up on the first night. Love this recording of them at the Metro in Chicago mid-90s. Noel high as a kite. Liam clearly not. And Bonehead doing his best to drive the tempo. Sad I missed this show.

Ya, me and several buddies go down there every year for a game. I've wanted to check out Riggs, but one is a recovering alcoholic, so out of respect for him we keep it tame. It's a night game, so we'll see if a couple of us can break away and hit up Riggs. Thanks.
