Fresh Hop 2024

Could probably get some really interesting and enjoyable flavors from the melony flavors and other softer fruit flavors that come through modern hops blended with a nice malty barley wine base

 

I would absolutely buy a FH barleywine.

 

An American barleywine with loads of fresh Cascade or Chinook hops would be (to borrow a phrase from @DefenCorps) "god tier."

 

FH Wanderjack w/ Citra is on tap and in cans at Milwaukie, other locations to follow most likely by today or tomorrow.

 

Can confirm just filled up a 32oz growler with FH Wanderjack at the Beaverton Breakside. Will pour into a glass as a reward once I finish my 5 mile run ‍♂️

Well then get you some English barleywine with...I dunno, fresh Fuggles? Kent Goldings?...and you'll be set.

Better yet, let's get Machine House to make a barleywine with fresh Willamette hops for some real Englands-meets-PNW diplomacy. Quite so.

Well unsurprisingly that’s freakin delicious. Breakside throwing down the FH gauntlet this year

 

…..on the other hand, What Fresh Beast nothing special. A good beer for sure, but the fresh hops are nowhere near the XPA or Wanderjack. FH Herman and the GN FH van beer are probably the best FH hazies of the season, but even those weren’t amazing FH beers. Just a hard style to showcase fresh hops I think

 

any word from Single Hill ? They made some excellent FH beers last year

 

Nothing about canned releases yet, but IG shows they have had multiple rounds of the Fresh Hop Rodeo beers made.
