What a day this was 23 years ago. I was in my typing class playing pinball emulator when the news broke. Went to Science next period and we turned on the news. We then turned off the news when the second plane hit the towers.

Howdy folks....

I remember.

This TRVE is for that memory.

Track session this morning, the first such session in over 30 years? 6 x 800m with some ez miles before and after. I thought I would suffer a bit more, but kept it "comfortably uncomfortable." Definitely felt it by every 5--/600m point, though, still fun. As an older runner, I need to do more of that, not less.

Now digging this Xtra Good beer... more to follow.

Man, I chose a day to post!

Before I do post my beer of choice today, as much as I am of Italian descent, I know I am proud to be an American. Both of my American and Italian (from Italy mind you) have served this great country for over 200 years. The cost is high for our freedom and it is rare for me to share this because of my father, who was a Navy Seals, taught me about quiet strength, and our duty to protect those who cannot protect themselves. I lost my father last November due to his 5 year battle with cancer, and it gets me even as I post this that he had been buried with full military detail.

So as we remember what our country has been through to allow these freedom's that everyday we should be thankful for them, I salute all those who gave EVERYTHING for this!
