Better wear shoes with ankle support.

I never got to try Symmetry back in the day, and even though I'm sure it's not at its peak, I wasn't going to miss the chance to try it over $15.

Same here - had no idea a new batch of Catch Hell was coming.

Especially when blended with a can of Benthic.

I’ll jump on the Catch Hell train here. Visited Chicago and St Louis during Side Project’s anniversary party earlier this year and Triple Barrel Catch Hell was on the short list of my favorite beer of the entire week.

For the STL locals who have an LC membership:

Besides the local perks, discounts, etc, is there anything of tangible value besides getting access to sales and single bottle purchases?

I feel like most memberships will give you some beer. Private Press, for example, has a wonderful barrel aging program and their membership includes two BA beers, glassware, etc. Side Project > Private Press in my opinion.

I live out of state and use a proxy and will always be a SP fan-boy. I've only ever visited their tap rooms once and loved the people and the beer culture.

I was just curious if the LC membership for locals is better, the same, or underwhelming compared to previous years.

It’s been basically the same for locals for almost five years now.

That being said, I know a ton of local people who have dropped/are going to drop.

The LC Silent Barrel series that everyone will supposedly be able to participate in is a perk, if it ever happens. That probably appeals to locals more than global members.

Not surprised the Library Tasting sold out much quicker this time

Nice to see the fastest-finger sales haven't completely disappeared.

How fast did they sell out this time around?

Seemed like just under a minute.

Psyched to be able to make it down to this one too, will be curious to see if all 12 pours are different from last time.

Maybe it will be all vintage sours this time

I’m personally waiting on the vintage saison Library tasting. Those styles tend to age better than stouts. Fortunately Fermier day is coming up!

The chance to do the complete Oude Ferm vertical (minus OFGC) on that Thursday is incredibly tempting.

(I started typing this before the posts around Fermier Day popped up...*shakes fist at actual work distracting me*)

Before this year, I'd be shocked that the brewery anniversary events details would go days w/o comment after being announced, but...I'm not shocked by much anymore. If nothing else, my indifference on buying recent packages is being rewarded.

If anyone is at the brewery on the 28th, feel free to say hi to the guys wearing Sporting KC apparel - we'll be doing the SP/soccer combo day again this year.
